Watched Wonder Woman - excellent, though the climatic battle was actually quite terrible compared to the rest of the film.

I watched a movie titled "Cell" starring John Cusack and Samuel L. Jackson, based on a Stephen King novel. Very odd little film with a strange ending. Sudden event where everyone using a cell phone suddenly received a signal and starting going crazy killing people. Only people not using cell phones or phones were dead were unaffected. It was entertaining enough to keep watching but I wouldn't view it again.

Watched "The Whole Truth" with Keanu Reeves and Renee Zellweger last night. It was a courtroom drama with a bit of a surprise twist at the end. I enjoyed it but was distracted by Renee's appearance. I'm not really a fan of hers and I've seen very few of her films. I heard she had some plastic surgery but I didn't even recognize her for the early part of the film. I kept wondering when she was going to show up. Then she turned in profile and I realized she was the mom. :o

I really liked the book - the movie was supposed to have come out not too long after the book (2006) but due to various issues, it sat around on the shelf for years. I don't know why I didn't know this film had finally been made.

I seem to be on a Keanu Reeves kick. I watched an older film of his called "Chain Reaction", co-starring Morgan Freeman and a very young Rachel Weisz. Murder and intrigue framed around attempts to thwart alternative energy projects by corporate interests. An entertaining movie for a Friday night.

FINALLY watched "The Girl on The Train".
It was decent enough and did keep my interest. Thankful I didn't pay to watch it. (Borrowed the DVD from Library).
Book was better.

Watched the crapfest that was Bridget Jones baby...I hated every moment of this dumb movie...And why oh why did Renee Zellweger do that to herself. It's like the time when Jennifer Grey got a nose job and it changed her whole appearance.

And I thought the song "You'll Never Walk Alone " fitted the ending perfecting.

I posted in the specific topic but I'll post here as well.
Saw "The Dark Tower" yesterday. Idris Elba and Tom Taylor (Jake Chambers) were very good. Matthew Mc was convincing as Walter IMHO.
The film was messy as the critics said.
Those who have read SK's series would probably enjoy it more than those who have not. I'm among the 76% who enjoyed it.
