Watched a movie called Valley of the Ditches. A couple get kidnapped, kidnapper kills the boyfriend and throws them in a shallow grave. while both are handcuffed by their ankles. The girl has to figure out how to get out. Which leads to a scene similar to Saw . But this movie was slow and boring.

Watched Beauty and the Beast this afternoon with the boy. It was delightful.
We had seen the official Disney Beauty and the Beast play locally a couple weeks ago. We went to see our family member's child play Chip and our good friend's daughter play Belle.
I thought the play and movie were both sweet.
Love seeing Emma Thompson as Mrs. Potts in the movie.

I watched a kid's film that was fun, titled "Earth to Echo". A little bit of a buddy movie, a little sci fi. Boys (and later, girl) find little alien creature lost and trying to find its ship. Not an original concept but this one was done a bit better than others.

Watched a movie on IndiePlex called "Red State" (2011). It kept my interest. John Goodman and Melissa Leo along with Kyle Gallner were just a few of the stars.
A brief synopsis from IMBD:
"The teenager Jarod invites his best friends Travis and Billy-Ray to have a foursome with a thirty-eight year-old woman. While driving to meet the woman, Travis hit a car parked on the road. When they meet the woman, she gives spiked beer to them and they pass out. When the three friends wake up, they find that they are trapped in the fundamentalist Five Points Trinity Church of the infamous Pastor Abin Cooper and that they will be killed. Meanwhile the church is under siege by ATF agents led by Agent Joseph Keenan that have been ordered to destroy the terrorist cell. Will the teenagers be saved by the agents of the law enforcement agency?"

We watched a Matthew McConaghey movie the other night, Free State of Jones, that had some people from TWD. The woman who played Moll in Sane Boat was in it, as was the actress that portrays Diane and the actor that was the motorcycle gang leader Daryl blew up.
I forgot to check and see if it was filmed in Georgia. Perhaps they are regional actors.

Watched Spilt and I thought James mcevoy was really good. So was the chick from Carrie. And of course M. Night Shyamalan gave himself a cameo. And he did the usual trademark twist in the ending.

Last night, I watched a Netflix original film starring Bob Odenkirk, Girlfriend's Day. It was a quirky and relatively short (1hr,10min) film. Fans of Odenkirk will like it for sure.

I don't mind long movies if I'm hyped for them. I saw Return of the King in theaters four times. but if I'm firmly a "maybe" on them it's hard to commit. I avoided seeing American Honey in theaters here because of its run time and instead waited for the DVD.

I know! I know! Y'all have seen it and know it's good. I had never seen it before last night.
Now, I know why people never get tired of watching it.

^I'd love to watch that film again. Saw it on one of the Charter channels. Maybe the Indie channel. I think the language had been altered somewhat. I would have watched it twice but I had to be at school at the crack of dawn this morning.

Watched The lodger. Two girls share house, but the girls hate each other. The fights which took up the majority of the movie were pretty funny. And the final scene was very predictable.

Watched I am not a serial killer. I liked it because it was the typical serial killer movie. Also watched the Korean disaster movie Pandora on Netflix. And I totally loved it.

Enjoyed it though some of the acting was a little over the top. But that last 20 minutes or so was such a tearjerker. I just sobbed and sobbed.
