I watched "Open Grave" the other day and was absolutely captivated. It came out in 2013 and stars Sharlto Copley. The tag line is: "A man wakes up in the wilderness, in a pit full of dead bodies, with no memory and must determine if the murderer is one of the strangers who rescued him, or if he himself is the killer." - BUT HOLY CRAP IS IT MORE THAN THAT. I was expecting the usual horror story ride but this thriller surprised and delighted me and my heart might have exploded.

Watched The Hunt for the Wilderpeople last night. Such a wonderful film ( could've done without the dog death though)

Love the original The Rocky horror show So decided to watch the updated one The updated one was flat and boring in parts. Laverne Cox in the Tim Curry role was biggest issue. She was completely wooden and flat in her performance. So as she was the lead the movie missed the mark.I did enjoy Ryan McCartan as Brad though.

Watched The Hunt for the Wilderpeople last night. Such a wonderful film ( could've done without the dog death though) dog dies in this? Well fuck how am I supposed to see it now? :/ It's towards the end. As soon as you see the scene where Sam Neil tells the dogs to get away from the boar, go in the other room for a few minutes. Or hit fast forward

I saw Girl on the Train this week, it was better than all the people who saw it led me to believe Emily Blunt was solid and it's not like the book was a masterpiece in the first place

Emily was the best part. Eh, I read it after the trifecta of Flynn's awesome books so it didn't impress me. Emily was great but that JLaw knock off girl was kinda bland

Emily was great but that JLaw knock off girl was kinda bland Megan was the worst part for me. I felt like she had more depth in the book, where as she was simply a bored, horny housewife in the film.

I remember watching the movie coming out after seeing Yul Brynner as the king from The King and I. Needless to say, it was a change of character. But I liked it. I have considered watching the TV show... but we are binging through Blacklist (ugh! I just want to know if Keen is his daughter... I am afraid it will be so unsatisfying if she isn't) right now and then probably will go to Gotham... watched the first episode and stopped for a commercial break.

I started watching In Secret last night, and will finish it today. I watched it because I felt like seeing an Oscar Isaac sex scene, and so for I haven't been let down because that's all he and Lizzie Olsen have done in this movie so far.

Saw The Windmill Massacre I was kinda disappointed by the movie. I thought it was going to be something else. Instead it was one of those movies, were you figure out what is going on after the first killing.

I watched American Pastoral this weekend. Good film, I never read the book it was based off of, but the acting was really strong.

The little boys. my grown up son and I saw “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them”. We enjoyed it on every level.
Watch for Johnny Depp's small part toward the end.
Eddie Remayne is believable. I'm glad he plans to be in the next 4 movies of this wonderful HP spin off. Just can't get enough of "majiking and muggling".
The US wizards/witches refer to muggles as "Non Mag" - not Muggles as in the HP universe.
