Binged watched 13 reasons and I agree dark sister it took to long to get to the ending. There was alot of filler just to fill the episodes so they could have 13 episodes. I was surprised they did show the suicide, I thought they would have cut away from the act and just shown the aftermath.

I know the show got some flack for that, but personally I don't think media should shy away from showing the reality of suicide. They did it as tasefully as possible. I don't buy the "it gives kids ideas and can increase copycat attempts" counter.

I'm debating whether to binge this one because the more I hear about the content the more it feels like it's just going to upset me. I'm willing to watch shows/films that have dark content but it doesn't sound like there's anything but dark in this one.

Tried to watch Gossip Girl and I think I lost brain cells watching it. How the hell did this show get 6 seasons.

Riverdale is the only show I'm currently watching besides TWD. I'm loving it. I have read Archie comics forever and I love seeing the characters come to life on TV. I love Riverdale, but didn't know it was based on a comic. OMG Archie comics have been around forever:) I loved them as a kid.

13 reasons got a second series on Netflix. Going by what happened in the final, I guess maybe a school shooting will be the basis for the second series.

I'm watching The Handmaid's Tale. The subject matter is sick but Elizabeth Moss is so extraordinary in the lead role I can't help but watch. As a woman, it disgusts me. On one hand it is as compelling as it is disgusting, but I can't help but think while I'm disgusted, this show is like porn for misogynists.

I never really watched that series of tv shows, how different are the shows to one another? The NCIS ( Naval Criminal Investigative Service) series are somewhat related in what they do - investigate cases that have evidence connected to Navy and Marine Corps personnel. Each of course centers around the 'team' or main cast characters. Criminal Minds is an FBI drama - An elite squad of FBI profilers analyzes the country's most-twisted criminal minds, anticipating the perpetrators' next moves before they can strike again. Each member of the "mind hunter" team brings his or her expertise to pinpoint predators' motivations and identify emotional triggers to stop them.
Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders is a spin off. This is the show that features Tyler James Williams (Noah from TWD). I watched a few episodes but haven't pursued it. Frankly I didn't think it would get renewed past the first season.

Is anybody watching "American Gods" on STARZ? There may already be a topic on this show but I didn't see it. It's completely odd and funny at the same time, the cast is great! I mean Ian McShane and Cloris Leachman alone are enough but if you haven't seen it, just watch the beginning of ep. 2 with Orlando Jones character! It is amazing! And the main character, "Shadow Moon" played by Ricky Whittle? This man is stunning! Check it out if you haven't seen it yet, I'm really liking it.
Okay! Just saw the thread topic for the show!! DUH!? Just pretend like I posted this there!?!

Finally!!!! I am obsessed! Just beginning Season 2. OMG! When Wallace was killed ... The Wire is AMAZING! Season 2 is my 2nd least favorite season. I'd rank them 3,1,4,2,5. ---- For the first time, I got really annoyed with Veep tonight when Selina didn't give the hard hitting women's rights interview. Normally I just lol over all her mistakes on the show, but that actually bothered me.

Since I'm a complete newbie regarding The Wire, I am using this site to understand the various intricacies of the characters/plot: uproxx.com/sepinwall/the-wire-links-for-reviews-to-every-episode/LOL! Alan Sepinwall deems Season 2 the finest of the five seasons.

Not yet. Did you like it? I did but it was very depressing. Guess I'll take a pass on that one. I'm definitely not in the mood to watch any depressing or heavy shows these days. The Handmaid's Tale is depressing me enough.

It's a documentary series about an unsolved murder of a nun. Well that does sound kind of depressing to me. I'll take a look at a summary though.

I am watching all 5 Seasons of "The Wire".
Finally!!!! I am obsessed! Just beginning Season 2. OMG! When Wallace was killed ... I am re-watching The Wire Rosie- it is as close to a perfect TV show as I have ever watched. The writing, the action, the stories, - everything is haunting, brutal, heart-breaking and amazing. I am into season 3 right now, so I won't give away any spoilers. I believe season 2 was underrated but was actually excellent even though the focus switched from the Western side to the port. Chris Bauer and others did a fantastic job that season IMO. In fact, I binged all weekend, lol on the show. Love to discuss TW with you once you have finished or as you finish up various seasons. Who are your favorite characters?

Ripley, I'll start a new topic for The Wire. I would love to discuss this show. Great idea for the hiatus. I binged Season 4 all weekend. As soon as I finish an episode, I read Sepinwall's blog about that episode. I still have 4 episodes to go on Season 4 - will probably finish tonight. I agree this series is just about perfect in every way.

Watched The Day Will Come on Nexfilx. It's about 2 little boys who are sent to orphanage in Denmark, when their mom gets sick. What happens in the orphange is incredibly sad and heartbreaking.
