There's that word again; persona. But it's still not Carol. It's a facade, a farce and not who she really is now is it? Babydoll lost herself and she's still trying to find peace before she can even begin to find her real self.
If the storytelling pace went this way, we still wouldn't have an answer to what Jenner whispered to Rick.

I found a positive in all this speculation about her continued arc: My expectations are so low there's no way to go but up. (rofl)

Love this! I think we should keep a count of how many times Carol and/or lack of Carol is mentioned in episode reviews and show commentary once the season begins. I think they are making a terrible mistake if {Spoiler} Carol is only seen in the episodes filming spoilers indicate. 2 or 3 episodes for 3/4 of the season?? ugh!

If what we think is correct i agree its really sad and the cheers she got is proof of how eager people are to see this continue progress, recover, and continue on her journey. I'm keeping my expectations low, but I'm still hoping we'll be pleasantly surprised.

That reception was awesome for Melissa. And I love that SG was right there to see it. Because right now it's kinda mind - bobbling that {Spoiler} SG has decided to completely backburn Melissa and give her nothing to work with. When both GOT and Downtown Abbey are out of the Emmy race next year.

Hopefully Gimple actually does something with that reception and doesn't think it translates into "people love depressed Carol!"

I want Carol to do amazing things in season 7. I have hopes for that and I hope I am not disappointed.

Thank you dark sister for the best meme to ever meme TWD! I missed her so much! When dudebros Gimple and Kirkman try to look all smug when MMB gets 100x more applause than they do...

As someone who has loved Carol since season 1... For the first time I really don't have that much real interest in her story at the moment . I'm not interested in her arc at The kindgom / Cemetery House... And I hate SG for that. >

What was the importance of the pomegranate in The Well? I think Carol was eating or at least prepared a bowl of pomegranate seeds in the MSF. Anyone understand or want to hazard a guess on the meaning?

Anyone understand or want to hazard a guess on the meaning? The meaning was when a hot guy with a tiger shows up and offers you a pomegranate you take it, no question. ; ) more seriously, id guess we're to assume that is a subtle hint that Ezekiel's words have some influence and she's open to what thshe kingdom has to offer

Anyone understand or want to hazard a guess on the meaning? There is spec that the pomegranate is about Carol not The Kindgom or Ezekiel. It about her finally accepting who she is. And as she was eating some pomegranate in the MSF.. its signally that Carol is slowing finding that balance for herself....

Anyone understand or want to hazard a guess on the meaning? In The Well, Carol declined the pomegranate offered to her, saying she found them too much trouble. I think her making the effort, and enjoying them, now means she's coming out of her shell.

I'm still astounded that tptb just sidelined Carol this season and then show cased such lesser talent I miss Carol so much that I have managed to convince myself that Carol asking Morgan how he is means that she is coming back. And now eating pomegranate seeds? It's a Christmas miracle!

And now eating pomegranate seeds? It's a Christmas miracle! I'm not that surprised now that Carol got sidelined.... I had a feeling Morgan would be backburned alot in season 7, after his flop return in season 6. And as Carol was apart of the Morgan's flop return arc. And is stuck with the character .... it's makes sense Carol would end up being sidelined to...

We already have seen enough to know that gimple has no problem doubling down on things the audience isn't into and he clearly had every intention of sticking with the plan he made in season 6, which would include Carol getting the amount of screentime he intended back in season 6 - I think the show thought letting Carol sit out season 7 would be fine because negan would carry most of the story.
