So 24 hours later I thought "screw fruit" and I'm enjoying a piece of chocolate fudge cake.

The question is what am I not eating? Thanks to Ripley I've been eating better than I have in a long time. I'm trying out Blue Apron so my dishes are varied and I'm being made to actually cook which is almost learning a new language. In a nutshell, it's rough going but at least I get to eat well.

Hell of a day always requires a pizza or something equally delicious IMO merelei I liked the Blue Apron food but found they sometimes added steps & taking longer IMO. The "use one pan to cook the meal" standard I like a lot and use myself whenever I can. I think it is great you are giving it a go- you are right, it is like learning a new language and skills. It takes a while for "muscle memory" to kick in and to get comfortable with knife skills, stirring, judging heat level in the pan, etc. I wish they had "throw on a sheet pan put in the oven" and let it cook itself" recipes, but I have lots of those I am happy to share Sexual Chocolate. Chicken with root vegetables, pork etc. So let me know if you want to have great food, cut the prep/cooking time in half, still have delicious meals" recipes, OK?

Yes, I agree Ripley about Blue Apron instructions. Whereas Hello Fresh instructions seem to fit the "use one pan to cook the meal" standard. Those are the only two meal plans I have tried. I'm a huge fan of sheet pan dinners.

You can make chili, soup, stews, or anything you want and use up any old ingredients you have and it's really really awesome

merelei This looks amazing. I have everything in my pantry - definitely going to be making this. Another Indian dish I enjoy is Cauliflower Stew. I make the version with tomatoes.

Fried eggs for (a late) breakfast. As always. And pepsi (yes, I have a bad habit of drinking soda with every meal, and in between meals if I feel like it).

Uncle Tetsu matcha tart 😂 What? What is that? With "tart" in the name it must taste good. Uncle Tetsu's is a Japanese Cheesecake store in Toronto. The cheesecake is amazing but there's always a lineup for it: uncletetsu-ca.com/products/This is the matcha tart. I LOVE matcha. I've attempted to have it before with just hot water and it was bitter, so now I froth some milk. But I'm always up for trying anything matcha flavoured.
