I just read a pretty favorable review of Train to Busan, I think I'd watch it.

Saw that Lauren Cohan horror movie The Boy. And there wasn't nothing scary about it. It was mind numbing boring.

Watched "Lights out" I was expecting the movie to add something to the whole "something scary" in the dark. But it added nothing and the characters weren't likable.

Watched this movie and really liked it. The movie focused more on the relationship between the mother and daughter than the monster.

If you follow me on tumblr then you know I watched The Babadook tonight. I wasn't impressed. I finally have Netflix thanks to a friend sharing his password, but the horror section seems like slim pickings.

I heard this wasn't good but I actually really liked it. It's definitely not a jump scare movie, but the "horror" is more cerebral and I'm down with those types of movies.

I absolutely love horror. I belong to several horror movie sites. Only thing though, I don't mess with any movies with demonic presence in the home like (The Conjuring (1 or 2), Insidious (I saw the first one and noped out when little dude was behind the lady), or Paranormal Activity. A family member had something happen to her in her house once and my family is shifty over that stuff. I'll watch things about ghosts or an angry Poltergeist who can't keep their damn hands to themselves, but I will NOT fuck with a demonic presence.
Or clowns. Which are basically demons in make up. Mimes too. Which are the silent cousins of demonic clowns. Also I will NEVER watch Henry Portrait of a Serial Killer ever again. EVER. You couldn't pay me. I was traumatized. And I don't like C***yman because I watched that when I was like 9 and in a room full of mirrors and I never got over it.
1.)Carrie 2.)28 Days Later 3.)Bram Stokers Dracula 4.)The Omen (not the remake) 5.)Cabin in the Woods 6.)The Descent 7.)The Thing (not the remake) 8.)Alien/Aliens 9.)Texas Chainsaw Massacre (I actually liked the remake better) 10.)The Mist/The Hamiltons/The Sentinel (1977)/ Mirror Mirror (1990-its about a demonic force but I didn't mind this so much) for the tie

Guillermo del Toro's "Pan's Labyrinth" and "The Orphanage" are both pretty damn good. More in the horror-fantasy genre though.

Big horror fan here. I agree with many mentioned here and rather than reiterate all again(except Halloween...the one timeless classic and the first two Alien movies) here are some others for your consideration in no order:
1) Dead Silence. The star is Ryan Kwanten, Jason from True Blood. Not the best movie, but parts of it are very creepy. Some of my kids have seen this 10+ times
2) The exorcism of Emily Rose. I really enjoyed it when I first saw this and the lead who was from Dexter and White Chicks did a great job. More of a thriller I guess, but alot of horror qualities. Well done.
3) Scenes from the final destination movies. Not a huge fan of the overall movies, but some of the individual first scenes, especially from the first two, were classics. Other scenes as well. One of the later ones starred Emma Bell, Amy from TWD, and it was a real horror/comedy which I enjoyed though if you like those types of movies. I laughed more than I was scared
4) The first Scream movie
5) The original fright night. More of a thriller too, but the end was horror. I just liked alot about that movie
6) Hostel...sick and disturbing movie. If you have teenagers to young 20 children it will really impact you.
7) Jeepers Creepers.
8) The original Saw movie
That's enough for now lol. have to say, that Clown trailer is GREAT

I'm in the middle of watching a really bad horror movie - I'm talking acting so horrible it makes Emily Kinney and Austin Nichols look like Streep and Brando - but I can't stop watching until I see how it ends. It's called The Tortured.

I am so ready for this.
XX is a new all-female helmed horror anthology featuring four dark tales written and directed by fiercely talented women: Annie Clark (St. Vincent) rocks her directorial debut with THE BIRTHDAY PARTY; Karyn Kusama (THE INVITATION, GIRLFIGHT) exorcises HER ONLY LIVING SON; Roxanne Benjamin (SOUTHBOUND) screams DON’T FALL; and Jovanka Vuckovic (THE CAPTURED BIRD) dares to open THE BOX. Award-winning animator Sofia Carrillo (LA CASA TRISTE) wraps together four suspenseful stories of terror featuring a cast including Natalie Brown, Melanie Lynskey, Breeda Wool and Christina Kirk.
In theaters, On Demand, Amazon Video and iTunes February 17th

If you like foreign horror, I would recommend Austrian horror Goodnight Mommy. It has some good twists and some really disturbing scenes.

Has anyone seen this? It's not streaming on Netflix so I may have to get creative...yeah, that's it...creative to watch it. I saw it and I like it ..It wasn't what I thought it was going to be. I thought it was going to be a horror movie but its not... The main focus of the movie is the relationship between the two sisters, who are very different from each other..and how they cope and survive in the new world around them. Ellen pages role is very similar to her other roles.... and Evan Rachel wood is good as the more controlled sister..

Has anyone seen this? It's not streaming on Netflix so I may have to get creative...yeah, that's it...creative to watch it. I thought this movie was terrible. It actually made my "worst of 2016 list" The main characters make some very stupid decisions, the plot is forced, and some how two of my favorite actresses give terrible performances. Especially Page. There's a lot of overacting there.
