I admit to being an Army of Darkness fan- the skeletons, the special effects, Bruce Campbell although I wasn't too keen on the first 2 films. I also love old horror anthologies such as Night Gallery, Tales From The Crypt and grew up watching Dark Shadows reruns. Getting this back on topic, to films, There was so much hype around The Exorcist, that by the time I saw it as an adult at least a decade after it came out, I found it meh. From the 80s, Cat People and The Fly are favorites of mine due to art direction and the writing- a few scenes in each are memorable. Dressed to Kill was suspenseful- these films are mentioned along with others on Hitfix's 100 Best Horror films of all time. www.hitfix.com/news/horror-poll

Recently watched the Sleepaway camp movies and I wasn't expecting the twist with the killer in the first one.

Watched The Sand it has a B-movie kinda feeling. College kids find a egg on a beach. Get drunk wake up and the egg has hatched and is living under the sand. So the movie is about them trying to get of the beach without touching the sand. If they touch the sand the alien will eat them...

Starlight Horror movies with foreign subtitles are 100 X scarier because in order to read the dialogue you have to keep your eyes open the whole time.

Ju on (The Grudge)
I get up watching the Movie of the Week which is most famous for Trilogy of Terror with Karen Black and the doll. Those were actually pretty twisted movies.

Stephen King's It is being remade for the big screen - due 9/17. Bill Skarsgård is playing Pennywise. I've got high expectations for this film. First look at "It's" costume/make up (see what I did there? (rofl) ). www.ew.com/article/2016/08/16/pennywise-costume-stephen-king-it-movie"Imagine this staring at you from inside the concrete chamber of a storm drain.
We’ve already gotten a close-up of Pennywise the Clown from the new film version of Stephen King’s It (out Sept. 8, 2017), but here we step back for a fuller view of the creature that likes to take the form of a leering, sinister clown.
Bill Skarsgård is playing the ageless, supernatural beast who feeds on the fears of children, and it’s clear director Andy Muschietti (Mama) is steering away from the modern, baggy-suited, rainbow-hued clown for something a bit more… archaic."

I'm looking forward to the It remake. I thought the first was really campy, I'm hoping this throws out the camp and brings the scariness.

Saw The Conjouring 2. Usually sequels tend to suck, but this one didn't. I really enjoyed it. It was a good idea to make the Enfield haunting more about Ed and Lorraine than the family involved in the haunting.liked how they included the the scepticism about the Enfield haunting in the movie.

Recently watched The Neon Demon with Elle Fanning. I thought the movie was going to be about the usual. A girl goes to LA to be model, and it was in away. but I wasn't the expecting the necrophilia and the cannibalism.

I saw Mama.... and it depends on your taste on horror...I didn't find it scary at all. The story is more about the bonds between a mother and a child.

I may have found a free copy online. The audio isn't great but maybe I'll watch it before it gets dark out. I'm the biggest baby who loves horror movies.

Starlight I just finished it. Yeah...it was a bad movie. I did like the actors who played the little girls but Guillermo del Toro has done better.

Sexual Chocolate Aw, I missed your post, I was going to say steer clear of Mama. They could've had an interesting film had they not tried to give it the PG13 jump scare treatment. I saw Don't Breathe in theaters recently, that's one of the better horror films I've see in a while.

The Ring did me in on horror movies. I haven't been able to watch one since. That movie just freaked me out.
Ha... at the time I watched it we were living on a rural island you could only travel to and from by ferry boat. Whenever there was a horse trailer on the boat, someone in my family would yell, "Stay away from the horse!"
I did love Halloween. Does it hold up anymore?

Found them. You'll see some familiar faces like Stephen King and George Romero talking about their favorites. I loved watching them because they gave me ideas for what to watch.

I don't know what time it is where you are but if it's in the middle of the night, I say good luck. It's 2:34 AM. And I'm about to step outside into the woods of Pennsylvania for a cigarette. No problem!
*Btw, I take a portable ashtray thingy that I bring back inside. I never drop ashes or butts on the ground, and am hyper aware of wind/sparks. I'll skip it if it's windy.*
