"Let’s make no bones about it–though certainly break some–Into the Badlands kicks ass, usually clear across the room. The AMC series mashes too many genres together to enumerate here, but what’s really likable is the wholehearted manner it unwraps its otherworldliness.

Contrast that with the channel’s recent teaser for Preacher, which keeps a lot of its concept in the holster, Badlands wants you onboard. Come for the kicking, stay for the military fiefdoms organized under commercial baronies.

Daniel Wu plays Sunny, a brooding killer in the employ of the beleaguered Quinn (Martin Csokas), a ruling noble who’s perfectly capable of doing his own dirty work. A chance discovery brings a kid named MK (Aramis Knight) into their lands, but he’s being sought by a lot of people, including Quinn’s rival, The Widow (Emily Beecham). Quinn’s upcoming polyamorous marriage distracts him, with the grudging support of his wife Lydia (Orla Brady)."

I really loved the movie Kung Fu Hustle and this sorta reminds me of that. Kung Fu with special above normal abilities. Although sometimes supernatural on Kung Fu Hustle.
