www.vanityfair.com/hollywood/2017/09/fear-the-walking-dead-recap-season-3-midseason-premiere-episode-9-10It looks like Madison is turning over a merciful new leaf these days—and we’re not sure that’s a good thing. The Clark matriarch has certainly committed her share of possibly-too-ruthless acts on Fear the Walking Dead, but her decision Sunday night to exile Troy instead of executing him might have been a swing too far in the other direction. The more violent of the Otto boys incited a minor uprising and staged a last stand when Walker and his men came to confiscate the last of his guns—which ended only when Nick revealed that he had actually killed Troy’s father, Jeremiah, whom the community has been led to believe committed suicide. Rather than kill Troy, Madison and Walker decided to exile him—and even though Troy also tried, unsuccessfully, to kill one of Walker’s men, Madison decided to let him walk off into the desert as planned. He already warned her that he never surrenders, so it seems likely she’ll come to regret that decision.

I'll be shocked if this decision doesn't come back to bite Madison in the butt. This arc is writing itself.

I have no doubt that it was a bad decision. Troy will somehow survive and then return to the ranch when least expected. Troy was fixated on Madison and she encouraged it trying to control (?) him. Plus, Troy had such huge mommy issues that I don't see him giving up.
It all spells trouble, with a capital T!
