I enjoyed both "The Shining" and the original "It", but never knew about that info. As I recall, Mike Hanlon was also instrumental in getting the group back together when 'It' resurfaced.

The Dark Tower (2004) Many readers think the character Dandelo, from the seventh book in the series, is the same kind of creature as Pennywise since he also feeds on emotion – in this case, amusement. (Dandelo can make you laugh yourself to death.) King himself isn't sold on the link. "I would say that they were probably related just because they both came from my head," he says. "But it wasn't a conscious thing to say one was like the other."
LOL!
This is one of the things I enjoy so much with SK's works. I'm always looking for Easter Eggs from other stories.
Not only does King do this, his son Joe Hill references 'goings on' from his Dad's books in his books. NOS4A2 for example.

I have noticed how King will make references to other books in his stories but I doubt I would have picked up on The Shining link...mostly because I saw that movie so long ago.
I am going to go see this Tuesday and I don't mind saying I am pretty nervous about it. The trailer freaks me out. Is that stopping me? I am just as bad as the kids in Stranger Things.
