I just started watching this series this year. I am eager to catch up on the older seasons. I just loved that herb encrusted rack of lamb recipe from a few episodes back.

zinc, Masterchef (America) is okay, but I prefer Masterchef Australia, which airs on Gusto network here. The episodes aren't as compacted in terms of the number of challenges, so you get a better sense of how/what the various chefs are doing. Also, there seems to be more longitudinal development in the chefs' skills, and the challenges ultimately become more complex, especially toward the end of the series. (On the flip side, I know people who prefer the less extended American version because they find the Aussie one drags... Personal preference, I guess.)

I'm on S5 of Masterchef US right now (watched S7 in full, but that spoiled the winner of S6 so I skipped it for now). I wish I could audition for Masterchef Canada but I mostly cook vegetarian and seafood.
