THR- I added a poll with all 8 men - choose up to 3 you think will die. "At least one of these eight heroes will die in the next episode of 'Thrones.' Here are our predictions. [Warning: This story contains spoilers for the fifth episode of Game of Thrones' seventh season, "Eastwatch."] Ladies and gentlemen, now presenting: the Eastwatch Eight — or Seven, if we're unpeeling the Onion Knight from the equation. In the final moments of "Eastwatch," the fifth episode of Game of Thrones' seventh season, Jon Snow (Kit Harington) finds himself marching off to war against the White Walkers with six allies in tow, all of whom are very familiar quantities for fans of the series: Jorah Mormont (Iain Glen), Gendry of Flea Bottom (Joe Dempsie), Tormund Giantsbane (Kristofer Hivju), Sandor Clegane (Rory McCann), Thoros of Myr (Paul Kaye), and Beric Dondarrion (Richard Dormer). Hanging back at Eastwatch, but still close enough to the frontline should the occasion call for a short-fingered friend: Davos Seaworth (Liam Cunningham). Article has pros and cons for each member of the mission... link

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! I worry that Jon will be the Christ-figure sacrifice in the end because he has no real connections to the other Stark children at this point, no wife or children either. That would break my heart but this show does that often, so I pray not. "Why Gnedry won't die" from THR "... wrong in this writer's opinion. His story might not be the flashiest or most central in the grand scheme of things, but Gendry is undoubtedly an important figure in the greater fabric of Game of Thrones, with too much untapped potential to die on this expedition. ...He's a blacksmith...the promise of dragonglass, yet another rare material that inflicts mortal damage against the White Walkers. The Targaryen stronghold is already being mined for the stuff, and a man like Gendry could prove crucial in creating powerful weapons as a result. He's a Baratheon. The last one... the Baratheons are one of the foundational houses in Game of Thrones, and it's hard to imagine their line washing away completely. The house's future rests solely on Gendry, then, as he's the last Baratheon standing, even if..." linkI agree Gendry seems safe, and yes, I would cheerfully cut his throat myself if it came down to Gendry or Jon Snow.
