This is the designated bitching thread for all things Game of Thrones. Criticism is of course allowed in all threads in this subforum so far, but if you haven't read the books or don't want to derail any topics, you're welcome to bitch here. Join murph and I when we take over this thread in a few episodes time.

After reading the spoilers for 705 I'm already salty about Gendry. I'll be happy to see him again, but it's weird that he is all of a sudden embracing being a Baratheon bastard and comes face to face with Jon Snow, mentions he was once going to the Wall, but doesn't mention Arya.

It doesn't even make sense! Why wouldn't he say something? He would! Like, of course he would! Why would he not?! It's not even the fact that he doesn't mention Arya (I mean, it kind of it) but the fact that he does go with some kind of 'yo we have a connection through our families' and yet it's the father card he pulls?! Hello! You were family with his favourite sibling! Come on, people!
I keep hoping maybe, maybe it's just dragging it out for full impact. I mean adding the Hound? They're literally grouping everyone in Arya's life! The only thing those three have in common in Arya! How can none of them say anything? How can the Hound not be like, oh, it's you, last time I saw you you were holding back your wolf-bitch friend.

I'm not done ranting. Is he deliberately not saying the obvious? Like, maybe he doesn't know Arya is alive and thinks Jon will be pissed if he finds out their history? I mean why does he even want to help Jon in the first place? Because their fathers were friends? Fuck that! Why would Gendry Waters want to go on a mission North with Jon Snow if not influenced by Arya?

It doesn't make sense for Gendry to be all gung ho over being a Baratheon bastard. What did he say about Robert in the past? That he just grabbed his mother and not the next one? Why the pride all of a sudden?

Why the pride all of a sudden?Because he's going down a Dark Path™. I was joking about him being the new Joffrey today. No, not because I like throwing around whack job theories derived from Fabio covered novels meets Stephen King that never materialize. I just miss Joffrey. The only thing this last episode did was make me nostalgic for the dead Lannisters and Starks and Baratheons even. All those great characters have gone and we're left with...Jon Snow...Jorah...Gendry...Littlefinger...the Dothraki....that somehow still keep on keeping on. Characters that I LOVED in the beginning of the show, namely Tyrion and Davos, now have the souls and entertainment sucked out of them by the likes of Jon and Dany. And also Dany who I loved at the beginning now has the soul and entertainment sucked out of her by the likes of Jon.

Something annoying is the fact that Arya quite clearly tells the Frey girl that "House Stark came", that "Winter came for House Frey"...and yet nobody seems to actually know her she did it? Jamie just says whoever did it is no friend to them. It's such a plot failure.
