We all have our favorites who are currently in supporting roles but we are intrigued by and want to see more of. Who do you hope to see more in Season 8? Pick up to four....

I went with Jesus, Ezekiel, Jerry and Aaron, but Eugene and Father Gabriel were close, as was maybe Tara, depending on how this season goes for her. I'm pretty bummed there aren't any newer female characters that I really care much about or am interested in. Actually, Diane. Yeah, I'm kind of curious about her.

How come no one else is talking about SIMON??? I love 'ol Crazy Eyes! You know, oddly I'm actually not that enamoured with him - I know I am the odd one out there though. I don't dislike him; Ogg plays him well and I think he certainly certainly would have made a better Negan earlier on, but I just...I dunno. I don't feel that much there. That is a me thing I think though, cuz thinking about it...I'm not sure I've ever really cared that much about any villain in the show other than Shane... I just realised that and that's kind of weird lol. Even the Governor just started to go on too long for me. Season 3 was enough of him for me, a good amount. I thought Gareth was interesting, but again I don't know how many episodes that interest would have held for me.

I chose Eugene, Jerry, Aaron and Eric. Of the rest there are several I like but I can't honestly say I'd miss them if they bought it next season.

Nice topic walkingdeadrules ! I picked Simon, Eric, Eugene and Jesus. I love Ogg as Simon, Eric has been woefully underused IMO. Eugene, I need to see him back with Team Rick or having been affecte, profoundly, by Sasha's words and the choice to sacrifice herself last season. I want and need to see more of Jesus because I don't feel the character has been brought to life quite yet. He is there, and is. of course, a huge fan favorite in the comic. A favorite character of mine from the comic. I think he was brought in during season 6 because that is the point where the comic character came in, but the show doesn't seem to know what to do with him IMO. I need more than pretty. In season 6 we got the sly prankster Jesus (cue the Benny Hill theme) and then the more serious, enigmatic Jesus who revealed he knew King Ezekiel and The Kingdom without having mentioned that fact to Rick's group before the Lucille Lineup. Later we saw him stand up to Gregory a bit and develop relationships with Maggie, Sasha (secretly) and others at Hilltop with Rick's group. I still don't feel I really know Jesus or what to expect from him on-screen. Tom Payne has mentioned some upcoming fight scenes which seem iconic and from the comic, so I guess we may learn more about him in season 8, I hope so, because he needs to become more 3-D and not just be present in certain event scenes simply because he was there, albeit more fleshed out as a character, in those same comic scenes.

I included Jesus on my list, but not because of what I've seen on the show as much as what I've heard his character was in the comic. Not being a comic reader myself, his introduction was met with much fan fare, and then pretty much nothing. He wasn't seen for weeks at end, and when he was it was quick. I would like to see him get more fleshed out and become more the Jesus I have read about from the comics that seemed to become such a fan favorite. With the deaths of many fan faves last year(Glenn, Abraham and Sasha), we could use some new people to root for.

I picked Ezekiel. KP does a good job with him. I'm not a Ogg fan at all. I expect him to twirl his mustache like a cartoon villain at any time. I don't really want to see any of them for more time. I like Jerry but I don't want to see more of him. Eugene has become slightly irritating to me. Please no more Tara and Rosita. Been there and don't want to go back. We'll only see more of Aaron if they kill off Eric and I have had it with characters only getting screen time to showcase their man pain. I would rather see more of Carol, Maggie, Michonne(away from Rick), and maybe Father Gabriel.

Honestly I can't imagine more characters getting more focus at this point, but hey, there are a couple of main stuff I'd gladly trade for a few on this list. So when I think of it that way, here's my list:
Ezekiel - great actor, good chemistry with costars, interesting story that could go in several directions if the show allowed. Tara - she does feel like more of a main than most on this list and I'd like to see more of her. I'm interested in her story after what we saw from her last season Simon - great actor, and a thousand times more interesting than negan
I originally thought Jerry, but to be honest, I think Jerry works far better as a supporting character than one which gets significant focus. He's kind, funny loyal and charming, but I think he offers a nice punch of lightness in between all the seriousness of other characters, but that wouldn't work well if it get blown up or extended

She's a favorite of mine and I support the relationship with Rick, but she's not as interesting in his orbit. She's needs some arcs of her own.

My big 3 are Father G (because LOL), Jesus, and Aaron (preferably with Eric but also on his own).

Now, if they gave him more layers and we saw what was going on beneath that goofy, happy, pure heart exterior, that might be a different story. But since I think we're really meant to take and enjoy this character for how he's presented, I dont think that would happen.
