"Anne Kenney, one of the original writers on the Starz drama Outlander, is leaving the series.
The popular writer and co-executive producer announced on Twitter that season 3 is her last. Production has wrapped on the drama, which will return to the premium cable channel in September.
One of Kenney’s most-lauded episodes was “The Wedding” from season 1 — when Claire (Caitriona Balfe) is forced to marry Jamie Fraser (Sam Heughan). Kenney announced via Twitter that she wrote the second episode of the new season that’s based on Voyager, the third book in Diana Gabaldon’s best-selling series. Kenney also vowed to keep in touch with fans.
Before Outlander, Kenney was already a veteran TV writer. Her previous credits include Switched at Birth, Greek, Family Law, and L.A. Law."
