Tell me everyone, what's your dirty pleasure foods? The ones that you just can't say no to? Something that's completely bad for you that you would sell your soul for just one morsel?

Batter-fried clams (whole clams with bellies, not those awful clam strips)

I've never met a potato that I didn't like. I'm especially fond of potato chips and then there are the french fries hot out of the fryer, with salt and ketchup! Yum! I also have a thing for corn in any form, but lately I'm addicted to movie popcorn with butter and salt. I'm aware that the common denominator here is salt!

Nutella! I try to justify it's existence in my life because I eat it on whole grain graham type crackers (sometimes I eat a spoonful right out to the jar). Running away in shame. :-[ :

Nutella was a staple of my post-secondary education, rosie. No shame... My own naughty foods are Fat Boys (ideally paired with great fries) and fish and chips (see also: great fries, with great tartar sauce -- not Kraft's -- thrown in for good fatty measure). While I'm also not ordinarily a far of mystery meats, a great "assorted" sub with a solid coating of oily sub sauce also hits the spot (while leaving me trying to blank out how many calories I'm consuming in that one foot-long).

I almost forgot Ramen noodles, and that includes the "seasoning packet". Yes it's so bad for you, but it's cheap, easy and filling ~ and now I want one!

Sushi, and I tend to gravitate towards the unhealthy rolls. Starbucks cake pops (cake in general). Everyone thinks I'm really healthy because I don't like Starbucks milkshakes (like that will ever be coffee). But I just can't drink sugar - sure as fuck can eat unhealthy, though. Rostilj/BBQ foods. Mostly meat but I love grilled zucchini, peppers, sweet potato, etc. It saves my figure because otherwise I'd be gorging on burgers. I'm Serbian - we love our barbecues as much as the average Southern American fat boy. We are just genetically blessed to not gain weight. Aw yeah bebe.

do you know I have never tasted Nutella? I don't like hazelnut flavor and I'm not huge on chocolate either so it has never appealed to me.

Nutella is literally an institution here in Germany.Must-have on every breakfast table. Although I don't like that it sticks to your teeth so much! I live 10 mins away from the Netherlands, and my guilty pleasure is dutch Speculoos cream. It looks like peanut butter but is solely made from mashed caramel butter cookies. They also sell white chocolate anise sprinkles to put on bread.Heaven! I have to go to a dutch supermarket once a month to restock all the sweet goodness!

So what are some of you guilty pleasure foods buttercup ? I think everybody has one thing they eat blissfully, no? I used to have so many but now I don't feel guilty about them so they are ex guilty pleasure foods. Good n Plenty used to be one but I found out crushed beetles are used to make the pink color and as a vegetarian, I had to stop eating it. Which is probably for the best. I guess my one last guilty pleasure is good warm bread with some good butter on it. Since Nov 9, I have eaten a lot of it and have gained the pounds to show it. So now I really DO feel guilty when I eat it. But some days I need it badly. So it is a guilty pleasure AND a comfort food.

Turkish delight I'm also a big fan of baklava, but luckily (?) there's only so much sweet things that are also rich that I can eat without feeling sick to my stomach, so I have a built-in limit.

They are called tri color cookies Rosie . Pretty popular in NY. Made with marzipan, either raspberry or apricot jam between the layers and chocolate on top. Addicting I will warn if done well.

Peach salsa- the recipe I use is from the Ball Canning book but doesn't have to be canned if you want to eat it right then. Peaches, bell peppers, onions, jalapenos (I seed and remove the pith to keep it mild) cumin and a little cayenne pepper for some warmth. A small amount of honey to thicken it and balance the savory flavors. I made this last year when canning and shared with family and friends. One friend loved it so much that we went to the farm (see photo above) a few weeks ago and bought all those peaches just to make into salsa. She had not canned before, but learned for this recipe and to have all year long. South Caroline and Georgia have failed peach crops this year after a sudden march trees killed 90% of the crop, raising prices drastically on the few peaches left. We bought our peaches, she canned hers and mine into salsa. Here is the final product- I'll scan the recipe up here later in case anyone else wants to try it out.
