Yes, thank you. I don't recall the missing letters on the arcade actually making the name look like "F Society"

observer.com/2016/07/mr-robot-recap-2x03-cement-into-madness/"Mr. Robot has never been shy about the influences Fight Club, both the Palahniuk novel and the 1990 David Fincher adaption, has on the series–in everything from tone, to aesthetics, to story. But if the first rule of Fight Club is “You Do Not Talk About Fight Club,” the first rule of Mr. Robot is “You Do Not Know How To Talk About Mr. Robot.” Over the course of one full season and a handful of season two set-ups, Sam Esmail and company have constructed a well-oiled mind-fuck, to the point where we trust nothing we see, nothing we’re told, and nothing we could guess.
Which is why the ending to last night’s installment, “eps2.1_k3rnel-pan1c.ksd”, is so damn pitch perfect. FBI Agent Dominique DiPierro, played wonderfully stretched between order and chaos by Grace Gummer, spying the not-so-subtle F/Society base that’s been in front of us since episode one: “You’ve got to be fucking kidding me.” That’s the marvel of the environment Mr. Robot has cultivated; so often are we looking for clues, for hints, for nods to a grand, dark conspiracy that we miss the obvious signs strung up in neon lights."
LOL!!! 8-) :

Last week's ratings were down significantly for Ep 1. I can't see ESPY awards capturing much of the market - thinking probably the on-line sneak peek took some of the market. Delayed viewing numbers boosted the low ratings. finance.yahoo.com/news/mr-robot-just-got-much-165700501.htmlAnother dissection and speculation of last night's episode. www.seattlepi.com/news/article/Mr-Robot-The-God-of-Panic-8399965.phpDoes anyone else remember the remaining letters on the arcade? I didn't realize this until Grace Gummer's character saw it as "f" "society". I know all that was explained by Jerome in the flashback but I don't recall the letters. The ESPY's could've, I suppose. This show is also one that's benefiting from word of mouth. I see it like Breaking Bad in terms of modest ratings at the beginning that continue to grow. I'm a bit worried rating wise for this week. There was a significant delay on the voices vs characters talking when I was watching. So much so that my husband actually stopped watching. I thought it was just my cable box, but I was watching live and other people on Twitter were complaining of the same issue.

Angela and Elliot shared scenes again tonight! Finally. OMG the ending of this episode was crazy. It's going to be a long week.Yes it is! Whiterose' day job - Chinese Minister of State Security - in cahoots with Evil Corp - David Price. Plot thickens! Why did Whiterose/Mr Zhang mention a "sister" to Dom? Dom was easily able to discern that was a lie - there is no sister. Guess we will see where Dom takes this. Grace Gummer is an amazing actress ... clearly the apple doesn't fall from the tree. Ray - evilest.dude.ever. If Leon had showed up in this Episode - would have been off the charts. Even w/o him - I'll give it a perfect 10. www.vulture.com/2016/08/mr-robot-recap-season-2-episode-5.html"Mr. Robot doesn't need to constantly move its plot forward to be successful, but when its pacing is largely beholden to new characters and the chaos of the post-Five/Nine world, the cracks in the system appear more readily. So, here's the good news: After four episodes of swaggery table-setting and wheel-spinning, Mr. Robot finally starts to bring some of the pieces together in "eps2.3_logic-b0mb.hc," an episode that brings Elliot back into action, features a shoot-out in China, and introduces Angela to the core of FSociety."

Snippets from this recap - always enjoy the little tidbits at the end of reviews: Stray Thoughts: - Tech vocabulary word of the week: logic bomb, a scrap of code that triggers a malevolent event when certain conditions are met.
- Joanna, Tyrell Wellick's Lady Macbeth-esque wife, has been on a journey of her own this season as she searches for evidence of her husband's whereabouts and figures out how to stay afloat. This week: sending her bodyguard to kill a parking attendant who knew too much.
- There's something interesting hanging on the wall in the "dining room" where Elliot meets visitors: Vincent van Gogh's "Wheatfield with Crows," a late painting commonly thought to be the disturbed artist's visual suicide note. Wherever Elliot really is, we're guessing this doesn't bode well.
- "Josh Groban Night! Looks like we're reliving our glory days," the terrible Ollie enthuses at the bar where he and Angela used to meet, while secretly recording their conversation for the FBI. Oh, honey. Thank God you dumped his ass. www.rollingstone.com/tv/recaps/mr-robot-recap-fed-up-w432499

One more recap from Gizmodo ... hoping the ratings SOAR! io9.gizmodo.com/mr-robot-is-finally-good-again-1784803656"Joanna Wellick, searching for her missing husband, continues to be the creepiest character on a show full of psychological ghosts, black market murderers, despotic billionaires, and nefarious Chinese spymasters. Good on you girl."
Spot on! She is one creepy character. I can't even imagine that baby's life down the road.

It's always jarring to watch this, then see USA's previews for their other shitty shows that are all exactly alike. I can't believe this Network is the one with Mr. Robot.

Last night's episode was SO good. I liked the sitcom dream Elliott was having, and I was surprised how long they kept it up. That's ballsy of them, but it worked out so well. And I was on the edge of my seat the entire time Angela was in the FBI field office.

Last night's episode was AMAZING! The sitcom was so creepy yet perfect;y done, right down to the bad jokes and laugh track. The Angela parts plus her dress = grey had me on the edge of my chair the entire episode. Wow- bravo to Mr Robot and Sam Esmail plus the cast. Now we know the origin of the shop's name and the show.

Due to Olympics on Wednesday night, I completely neglected to watch. Caught up today. Great episode.
I had forgotten Angela 'knew' Cisco. What was injected under his fingernail do you suppose? Gave me the heebs watching that scene. Shudders ...
... and there was Dom right up under Angela's hack.
Young actor who played young Elliott looked so much like Rami Malek - coloring, eyes, teeth. Nice casting job.
Sit com opening was brilliant. Domestic abuse (in the Alderson home) that has been alluded to throughout the series reared its ugly head again.
OMG! Elliott's blue jean shorts, striped tee shirt and white crew sox - cracked me up. Everything in living color compared to his dark blue jeans/dark hoodie and dark toned backgrounds.
I wonder if this is the EP the stars have been promising the audience would love (their favorite maybe?)

I'm not sure about what they injected.
In Agents of SHIELD they used needles under fingernails as a torture treatment. They shot something that numbed the hand, then as it wore off the pain from the needle got worse.
Though I doubt that's what happened here.

qz.com/758364/once-the-best-show-on-television-mr-robot-has-hit-its-sophomore-slump/August 16, 2016 Adam Epstein for Quartz "Once the best show on television, “Mr. Robot” has hit its sophomore slump
My chief criticism of the show this year is a basic one: I literally don’t know what’s going on. The various sub-plots have become difficult for me to follow, and reading the recaps after each episode doesn’t clear up my confusion. That’s because many TV critics are similarly lost, and some are also irritated by the show’s muddled narrative.
The Atlantic called the show’s most recent episode, which featured a long sequence in the style of a cheesy 1990s American sitcom, an “overwrought jumble.” Vox shared that sentiment, lamenting a show “lost in its own indulgence.” Vulture argued that it has become “an exercise in pure style, alternately dazzling and masturbatory.”
Frankly, I look for recaps/reviews on-line and comments here. Sometimes I'm lost during the episode ... However, I did enjoy and 'get' the sit com sequence in the last episode.

Sam Esmail is a bonafide genius! So glad this show has been renewed for another season. IMHO, Mr Robot and Fargo are the two best written and executed dramas out there. A couple of things I'm not sure about but I do feel will be revealed 1. What was Ray's position in the prison? Had to be up the chain in order for him to have access to computers and a quiet office. I'm sure we will see him again since the FBI was involved. Anyone else wondering if his dog was real (maybe a therapy dog that Elliot got to know in his sessions with Ray). I'm thinking Ray might have been a therapist or psychologist. 2. I don't think Tyrell is dead. Mr Robot was too hesitant in answering Elliot's questions. 3. What is the heck is Angela's plan? 4. Oh my god! Leon! Who knew? I was pretty sure Elliot was locked up either in a mental institution or a prison and Leon was as well but never would I have guessed his true purpose. I think he stabbed one of those prisoners in the anus. A couple of reviewer's opinions and thoughts - I've read several so far. All seem very impressed by this episode. www.nytimes.com/2016/08/17/arts/television/mr-robot-season-2-episode-7-recap.htmlwww.ew.com/recap/mr-robot-season-2-episode-7

I originally thought Ray was just a guard, but since the office thing came into play, I wonder if he was a therapist or a warden?
Tyrell definitely isn't dead, IMO.
No idea wtf Angela is planning to do, the shrimp cocktail thing was jarring though. That's what her boss was eating when he "decided her mother should die" from last season.
Leon surprised me. did not see that coming. lol

I agree Ray is likely a counselor or therapist. Angela's wearing grey so often is great reinforced event of her indecision and back and forth choices. Loved this episode.

Hoping we see Joey Bada$$ as Leon in future episodes. There was a lot of WTF?? when the news of his casting broke. He's given a great performance.
The level of violence is this last episode was shocking. I understand Sam Esmail is a great fan of the series "Oz".
I've never seen "Fight Club" but I've seen several references/comparisons.

Anyone who hasn't yet seen tonight's episode might not want to read this review until after you have watched. www.nytimes.com/2016/08/24/arts/television/mr-robot-season-2-episode-8-recap.htmlI'm still mind blown over tonight's episode. Each week this show continues to amaze. Shit's gettin' real for the fsociety team. Totally off topic ... reckon , do you watch Mr. Robot? Older gent at the bar with Angela (in tonight's episode) is Mark Moses who played President Michener in The Last Ship. Angela clearly has a 'thing' for these older dudes.

GQ article with Joey Bada$$ (Leon). www.gq.com/story/joey-badass-mr-robot-interview Brooklyn emcee Joey Bada$$, who plays Leon, gave insight into his character during an interview with GQ after he saved Elliot’s life in last week’s episode.
“I'm sure he's done some wild shit. He might honestly just be a spy or an agent. That's what I'm starting to think. He's onto something, man. Wait until you see the last episode—it's like, Wait, what? And he's clearly not afraid to kill. He's definitely done it before. You don't just kill four people like that for the first time.”
Leon, who was also the one giving Elliot adderall in jail, is an affiliate of the Dark Army and at least an acquaintance of Whiterose. Leon killed four men who were about to rape Elliot. Just as he stabs one guy in the ass, he turns to Elliot and says, “You're gonna get a letter on Tuesday. Do what it says. Yo man, when you see Whiterose, make sure you say I did you good. I'll be rooting for you, cuz. Always.”
