comicbook.com MMB interview from last week. "...Carol's wall is one of the heaviest of any character on The Walking Dead. Her actions are justified by survival but in preserving her own life, Carol and others have put an end to countless souls. Still, the moments with Lizzie in Mika in Season 5 are among the heaviest which weigh on Carol today. "It's just a burden, and it's a horrible feeling even though she had her reasons to do it, and it made the only sense at the time, it still is like a filth that you just can't wash off," McBride says. "I don't know if she ever will [tell anyone], but I think about that myself for her. Are they ever going to let her tell anybody, or is it ever going to come up again? It was kind of a big deal." If Carol were to open up to anybody about the moments, many would suspect Daryl to be the most likely candidate. The two reunited in Episode 7x10 (Say Yes) and put their burdens of survival on display, sharing endless wounds but also a deep chemistry. For McBride's perspective on Daryl and Carol's relationship, click here for more!..." link

Carol has grown to become one of my favorites!! Her character growth has been phenomenal.

Yes, it was, so hopefully it will come up in the future. I think, logically, it should be a conversation between Carol and Rick, since Carol and Ty's decision was largely based on protecting Judith.

I still have hope it will come up. Rick didn't directly address Judith's paternity until four seasons after she was born. Gimple sense of the passage of time doesn't seem to jive with anyone else's.

The Grove was a big deal. It was one of those rare episodes in which the writing was as good as the acting (IMO). We lost two children in that episode and it shattered Carol and Tyreese. He was so upset that he didn't want to talk about it and he convinced Carol not to talk about it. I find it quite unforgivable that tptb didn't give us a five minute conversation between Carol and Daryl (or Michonne, or somebody) Why would they give us The Grove and then never speak of it again?

This may seem OT but it fits with the "Gimple taking forever to connect the dots" theme
A GA pointed this out to me recently. In an episode in 7B (I forget which one), the writers expected us to remember Michonne's cat sculpture even though it appeared only once several seasons ago. I think she's right. I can't recall any other reference to it. I don't think viewers even knew that Rick was aware of the sculpture.
So if the cat appeared in Season 3 (Clear) and was not referred to again until 7B, it doesn't seem so far-fetched that something as important as the events of the Grove would eventually be revisited.
