Comicbook.com and EW, although this is taken in part from an earlier EW interview
"With Sonequa Martin-Green soon-to-be starring role on Star Trek: Discovery most every fan of The Walking Dead expects Sasha to meet her maker in the second half of Season 7.
Martin-Green has be quiet on that subject but was a little more vocal on what audiences will see from her character in what may be the last few episodes of survival.
The short version is, an attempt to kill Negan. The long version is more detailed.
"We’ve all come together, and that’s a beautiful thing," she told EW. "It took us a long time to get back together, and everybody’s been on their separate paths of, really, self-discovery and also figuring out, how are we going to move forward? How do I fit in this new world? We’ve all been on our separate paths doing that, and I think that the first half of the season was such an arduous one. It was so painstaking trudging uphill trying to figure this new world out.
"And so I am in a similar mindset that everyone else is in. We realize that we are conquerors, and we’ve made it. We’ve made it back together, and that’s victory enough to give us some pep in our step, you know? So I’m ready to see what we can do together, and I’ve never taken my eye off of Negan. I know what I believe needs to be done, and I’m ready to see if we can come up with a plan that will work together...."

I still can't believe that SG went with the predictable Holly route with Sasha. > I love how SMG is describing the characters journey. Pity character development never plays out like that on the screen.

She makes it sound wonderful and exciting plus drawn out, which I would love to see over the back 8 episodes.

Starlight, I couldn't agree with you more. I always find it very interesting to hear actors speak of their roles and specifically the characters mindsets and motivations and then think...hmm...I would NEVER have picked that up as a casual viewer of the show. So much of it is so good and I think viewers would appreciate it. I also think back at some of the more iconic moments of the show....and SURPRISE they were not in the comics! Sofia coming out of the barn....Lizzie looking at the flowers...Terminus.....none from the comics. Isn't there a message? Mirroring Sasha's death after Holly's..it's like he keeps trying to fit the pegs in the holes no matter what it takes...
