From the Fan2Sea Cruise TWD panel, January 19, 2017 and shared from the good folks at Spoil'ED Rotten Walking Dead Fans group. "...thankfully Seth talked a little bit about what’s in store for Father Gabriel when the show returns on Sunday, February 12. “You’ll see more of his complete devotion to rehabilitating Rick and following his leader,” Seth told the crowd, touching on Father Gabriel’s massive transformation. As fans of the show know, when we first met Father Gabriel he was a broken man with zero survival skills — but now he’s stronger, ready to fight if needed, and eager to help keep Alexandria safe. As for where Father Gabriel stands with his religion, Seth said he “doesn’t know” if the “question of faith” will be brought up and answered. However he added, “I would be interested in what his newfound revelations are about what God’s plan is for man now that the dead are roaming the earth.” Hopefully we’ll get to touch on that in the future!... Another thing Seth touched on during the panel? His other show, Teen Wolf, coming to an end. “In the last three years going back and forth between ‘Teen Wolf’ and ‘Walking Dead’ hasn’t left me many other opportunities in terms of work, he explained, but added “that will be changing” now that Teen Wolf is coming to an end after season six... link

Snore fest. Another character who agrees with everything Rick does. Boring.

I'm starting to wonder if Father G may be the rumored second death in the finale. We know he gets taken captive and if he is truly "so devoted to Rick" that sounds like TWD-speak for lamb to the slaughter somehow.
I like Gabriel, so am glad to see Seth Gilliam getting more to do than holding Judith this season and being in soul-anguish.His sudden shift, stepping up, fooling Negan about Maggie being dead and now probably hiding guns in that extra grave= reminds me of Hershel suddenly stepping up in new, powerful ways in 4-A.

Ripley, I agree - I wonder if Father Gabriel is the 2nd death. Wah! I don't want any of the 'mains' to die.

I don't want to lose one of the only male characters i really like...

With Fr G sitting beside Rick in Rick's dream. I think thats foreshadowing that Fr G will be taking on a more third hand man role with Rick behide michonne on the show. So I reckon Fr G will survive season 7

Maybe Father Gabe will be Rick's second in command whenever Rick and Michonne leave ASZ to visit other communities. I know a lot of people have reversed their stance on FG but I still don't like him much. He would have to do something spectacular to redeem himself with me.

I don't think Gabriel dies this season either. He's going to be Rick's 2nd in command (Michonne is his equal) If anything, I think Gabriel replaces what Daryl is to Rick. No, Daryl won't die, but he'll probably be off doing other things.

I'm loving Father Gabriel's loyalty and wise counsel. I'm pleased that someone I initially despised, has earned his place as a valuable member of the group. Michonne and Gabriel are just what Rick needs at his side, to stay on track.

I love this character, i love his wisdom and growth. But i don't like that he belongs to Rick. All close people to Rick, who aren't Michonne or Carl will die sooner or later
don't think Father G. will die in the finals. This show is really a hidden hypocritical racist, but don't think that they will kill Sasha and Gabriel in one episode.

I must be the only person in the fandom who is not riding the Father Gabe redemption train. Too much, too soon, and not even remotely believable to me. I don't hate him. I just don't care about him at all. Handsome guy, though.
