I'm excited too carolpenny and I am counting down the days until it airs. We know Humans and TWD start February 13-12th respectively and Into The Badlands should start airing, probably with better Call Saul after that. both seasons were quality shows, so I expect Season 3 to be the same.B

YAY! THR:'Better Call Saul' Season 3 Promo Hints at Gus Fring's Return' "...A new promo for the upcoming third season of the AMC spinoff seems to hint at just that. In a video released Tuesday, Giancarlo Esposito reprises his Emmy-nominated performance of Gustavo "Gus" Fring to promote the famed Los Pollos Hermano, the fictional restaurant within the Breaking Bad universe. Because Better Call Saul is a prequel to Breaking Bad, Gus is seen in much better shape than when he last appeared on Breaking Bad in the season-four finale when his face was blown off. If the ad indeed means Esposito will be reprising his role on Better Call Saul, that would make Esposito one of the biggest names from Breaking Bad to appear in the same role on the prequel series, save for stars Bob Odenkirk and Jonathan Banks..." link

Me too-the Los Pollos Hermanos culture and story are fantastic. Fring is one of my favorite characters, so I'd love to see him again so learn about how he and Jimmy got together.

www.vanityfair.com/hollywood/2016/04/better-call-saul-gus-frings-back-title-anagram-finaleWe kinda got ahead of ourselves a little,” Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul creator Vince Gilligan says, referencing a knotty Season 2 puzzle that eagle-eyed viewers decoded a couple weeks ago. Just as they did in the second season of Breaking Bad, the writing staff put clues in the Better Call Saul episode titles this year. Gilligan and co-creator Peter Gould were hoping to unveil the mystery “sometime over the summer” but their fans got ahead of them. Yes, they were trying to tell you that Giancarlo Esposito’s Breaking Bad villain, Gus Fring, is coming back. He’s just not here quite yet.

Thrilled this series is back. Loved the first episode last week. Episode 2 in 3 minutes.

Outstanding!
Mike and Jimmy both fell into the traps that were set for them.

I enjoyed the premiere more than episode 2 (found it a bit slow moving), but you can't help but feel Jimmy's sense of betrayal at being taped by his brother. Bob O. really knocks this role out of the park.
This will be interesting for me because I'm a newbie to watching every week. I binged the first two seasons.

Ah, greaterpursuit , I watched the first two seasons on the slow weekly road myself. Watched at a friend;s house last night. Loved seeing Gus Fring back in action as well as the Jimmy -Kim scenes and of course the family unhealthy dynamic. The show has such a talented cast and the writing is wonderful. The show feels like a luxury worthy of premium cable networks.

I love the ratio of humor to drama.

I didn't get into BB until after it ended and (then) binged 5 episodes per month.

But I love it - the writing and the slooooooow build up to a great payoff. It's so delicious. I do wonder how many episodes this can go once the series catches up to Walter White? In my imagination, the series will pick up at some point with Saul's life after Cinnabon. If anyone call pull it off ... Gilligan and Gould!

I really like the Kim Wexler character. The actress is lovely, just like all female leads, but she is more relatable than most. Can't put my finger on what it is, but she really draws you in.

Last night episode was delectable. Mike and Chuck together was amazing. The scenes with Gus and Hector and his goons was very tense. Gilligan said several scenes of Hector terrorizing customers had to be cut due to time. I'm going to re-watch the episode of BB where Hector kills Max. Of course the scenes with the lawyers and Jimmy were fantastic. I can't wait to see how Jimmy/Kim will trap Chuck next week. I always like the interviews with Vince Gilligan. He shares so much and is a great conversationalist. He is probably my favorite show runner. www.yahoo.com/tv/better-call-saul-postmortem-sabrosito-154904869.html

By the way, another character from BB was seen last night - Don Eladio swimming in his pool. Remember the last time we saw him in the pool in BB? The Hacienda in Albuquerque where these scenes were filmed in BB is for sale. This place is amazing! Includes 5 Casitas! I could live in the Log Cabin. www.thehaciendadeplacitas.com/wfPropertyDetails.aspxTake the Photo Tour - enjoy!

From what I'm reading around the net I'm fairly alone in this, but I was a bit bored with last night's episode. But then I'm not a fan of the entire drug cartel subplot with Mike, Hector and the crew (I like Mike but like him interacting with Jimmy more). I would have liked to have seen more interaction with Jimmy, Kim and Chuck. The end scene when Kim takes Jimmy's hand in silhouette was a lovely shot though.

Oh man, Mike and Gus were the MVPs for me. Gus is my all time favorite TV villain. I never tire of watching him.
What does everyone think Jimmy is going to do with those photos? Prove Chuck is unstable?

Prove Chuck is unstable? I don't know what Jimmy/Kim are planning with the photos but the dialogue focused on the photo of the oil lamp on top of papers. Also focused on the unseen document Mike photo'd. Proceedings to attempt to disbar Jimmy are going to bite Ada (Chuck's lawyer) in the butt I foresee.

Ripley Excellent! Last night's episode was enthralling. I agree with this little snippet from the Variety review: "Strangely, after a half-season rooting for Jimmy to throw off the yoke of his brother’s unfair oppression, the younger McGill brother’s triumph feels more like a tragedy."

Indeed Rosie. Superb episode, especially the last five minutes. You can bet this one will be submitted for Michael McKean's Emmy reel. I was still thinking about his blowup on the stand this morning, and that's what you want from a show. You want it to stay with you. Bob and Rhea were brilliant with their respective reactions after the deed was done. It had to be done but no one felt good about it.
