AlienSoul brought up a good question in another thread. Right now, Ezekiel is keeping most of the Kingdom blissfully unaware of the threat the Saviors pose. We know that won't last forever, so what specifically do you think will make him move forward?

AlienSoul's quote from the other thread: what's the point of the Richard-Carol murder plot, really? I know that supposedly he believes that will get Ezekiel to go to war. Of course he'll fail. But people are speculating that he'll end up killing that kid whatshisnamesomethingstartingwithB, prompting Morgan to kill Richard. I don't think that this kid's death will get Ezekiel to go to war. It wouldn't make much sense.

Great question that I really don't have an answer for. I think Zeke's trust in Carol and Morgan is what's going to convince him to go to war. Didn't Morgan ask Zeke if he's being allowed to stick around because he knows how to kill? And Zeke answered something like, no it's because you know when you don't have to. Eventually, Carol and Morgan are going to tag team Zeke and get him on board to join the fight. {Spoiler} Plus, somehow Benjamin's death is going to be a major catalyst even though it's caused by Richard.
Zeke to Morgan: Young Benjamin will become an important member of my court. I need the boy to...I need him to live.
Seriously, if we already weren't told differently, I would think Zeke is Ben's father. I rewatched the "I need him to live" scene on youtube, and Zeke puts a lot of love and emotion behind those words.

I think like most groups we've seen (Woodbury, Hilltop, ASZ folks last year) it will take an extreme direct threat to their daily lives before The Kingdom residents are willing to fight. Being kept in ignorance for so long by Ezekiel is going to hurt the cause now. People want their cobbler with every meal, and for life not to change. I think the residents will protest and prefer life as is rather than fighting.

I see it playing like this {Spoiler} Ben's death in episode 14 will be the big catalyst for the kindgom and Morgan throwing his "All life is precious "crap out the window..
I can see Richard letting the Saviors kill Ben.. like the dick could stand back and let them beat Ben to death.. Morgan will either witness it or find out and boom Morgan is back. and he kills Richard..but this still isn't enough for Ezekiel to change his mind.
So Morgan knowing he needs help will then go to Carol. and tell her about Negan killing Abe Glenn and him kidnapping Daryl. Then boom Carol is back.. and both will then double tag when it comes to convincing Ezekiel to go to war
