Negan seems to revel in the humiliation of other men. He is equally vicious to women but we've seen that he doesn't seem to consider them a threat. He killed all the men with the Oceanside group. We know that those are some badass women. Maggie and Sasha are warriors and are moving into leadership positions at Hilltop. Carol is Carol. She has never won a fight with her physical strength (Mary and Morgan). It is her ability to use weapons and her own fearlessness that defeated her enemy. Michonne is Michonne. She is a one woman army. She is not going to be joining Negan for drinks on the front porch. Rosita needs more than one bullet but she will figure that out. Tara survived on her own and is a link to Oceanside. Negan's wives hate him. So is it possible that Negan is ignoring the biggest threat to his empire?

It's not a woman who topples Negan from power. His wives don't hate him, they've chosen to be with him instead of doing hard labor. They spend most of their time together bonding. The next bit is spoiler material... After Negan is removed from power and tucked away in a cell, the saviors do not join Rick's team. Dwight is the only savior who likes Rick and he doesn't stay with the saviors but moves to Rick's team. The rest of the saviors greatly dislike Rick's group and are plotting against Rick but only after the Whisperers greatly weaken the group. Their new leader? Sherry. Negan is still alive but hasn't been back to the Saviors.

To booksrbetter's point, I think the writers are setting it up where the women are the ones to bring down Negan. And just as Carol told Merle (in the deleted scene) that people underestimate her, Negan certainly underestimates the women around him, especially those in TF.

I also feel that it should and will be a woman or several that will ultimately bring him down (Hell, Carol has been pushing "vagina warfare" since S3! I mean, he's a dog, that would be the easiest way to get him imo?!) And if they don't do it, my biggest wish is still for Shiva to eat him alive!! P-)

Negan is definitely a rapist.

I do think Negan's objectification of women, with them all as potential sex partners, or otherwise geared around meeting his needs, will play a huge part in his downfall and likely capture/imprisonment. I can't tell yet how closely they will follow the comic although I'm confident it will will be quite close with the huge time jump of a couple of years next season. The show's problem will be how to keep him interesting while jailed in the cage Morgan built if he goes there as most of us expect. Back to topic-Rick's group has many capable, smart women sighting Negan through crosshairs for death/defeat: Maggie, Sasha, Michonne, Rosita, Tara and of course Carol, once she learns about Glenn and Abe's deaths in the lineup.

I don't think Negan is interesting now. I'm all for a meme "If Negan doesn't die? We riot."

As for the topic - here's hoping that's where they're going with this. I'd love to see women - including Sherry, Amber and the other 'wives' - be the end of him.

I thought the whole first half was setting it up for women to be major players in taking him down. I don't know what I think about the wives because so far I haven't seen them appear like they could stand up to him. Except Sherry.
Negan definitely objectifies women. And he certainly seems to underestimate them as a whole.. which is surprising given Paula and Arat.
