Most of the actors can do a little research to get an idea of when their character will die, though. Robert Kirkman's The Walking Dead comics layout the fate of most character well ahead of their deaths on the AMC series. While they are not always accurate, the graphic novels set ominous expectations for several characters Getting a job as an actor on The Walking Dead means very little in terms of security. While the actors move their lives to Atlanta, many of them only stay involved with the show for a few years at best - just ask Michael Cudlitz, Scott Wilson, Chad Coleman, or Emily Kinney. Most of the actors can do a little research to get an idea of when their character will die, though. Robert Kirkman's The Walking Dead comics layout the fate of most character well ahead of their deaths on the AMC series. While they are not always accurate, the graphic novels set ominous expectations for several characters (such as Spencer Monroe heading into 7x04). While her character's death is still a long way down the line in terms of comparing The Walking Dead TV series to the comic books, Rosita actor Christian Serratos thinks it is acceptable to swap character deaths in order to preserve the lifespan of others. "No, not necessarily," Serratos said. "I think all of these characters have such incredible deaths, and I think that, yes, you do feel a sense of possession. That is my death. Nobody can have it. However, there are some incredible deaths, like Abraham's death in the comic book was given to Denise's character on the show. It was amazing. A lot of the deaths have been flip flopped, and that goes along with how amazing Scott Gimple is at staying true to the comic book while still keeping people on their toes. Whatever death I get, I know that it's not going to come rightly. It's going to have been very thought out and it'll be exactly the death I was meant to have." Rosita's death came well after the war with Negan in the comic books but was one of the more shocking moments in Walking Dead history. Along with Ezekiel and several other citizens of Alexandria, her head ended up on a spike marking the territory of the Whisperers, a group which Rick is still at war with in the most recent issues. link
Brandon Davis and his click/ bait headlines... and him being able to write a whole article out of a few sentences. I do like CS answer and attitude to the death question.

Starlight thanks for posting - CS seems particularly grounded for a young women in Hollywood unlike some other actresses - I liked her comments too - I enjoyed reading this as I don't read the comics and it's nice to be reminded of the details. But yeah, total click bait, which is guess is the new normal for ol' Brandon

She's probably thinking "no way my show death can be as lame as just ended up on a spike."

the title is total click bait but I like the article for the most part. We really don;t know enough about what CS thinks about Rosita's story line and I wish we could get a bit more. she does seem to have a very down to earth view on things..

I find it interesting this shows up when Serratos' filming patterns send up some red flags. I mean he could have dove a piece of several actors and their thoughts on various deaths or what they want their character's deaths to be on the show.

I find it interesting this shows up when Serratos' filming patterns send up some red flags. I mean he could have dove a piece of several actors and their thoughts on various deaths or what they want their character's deaths to be on the show. Agreed. It IS interesting, yet I doubt AMC is disproportionately allocating press interviews to actors who they know are dying in 7B. He is probably just trying to get hits. I am so annoyed at the staggering number of interesting female characters that have died before they got a chance to develop into their full potential: Amy, Jacqui, Andrea, Lori, Beth, Lizzie, Deanna, Jessie, Denise, etc. Even Paula would have been a fascinating addition to ASZ if she had defected from the Saviors. These female deaths just keep piling up. :-[ I sincerely hope Rosita doesn't die until we learn her full backstory and she gets to grow into something more than Abe's ex, Eugene's friend, and Spencer's rebound. I hope the same thing for Tara as well. Tara, Rosita, and Sasha deserve a LOT more. And it's a sad situation that 2+ years after their introduction I'm fairly indifferent to all three. I hope this season changes that. All three of them deserve real storylines. But I was so disappointed with Andrea, Beth, Deanna, and Jessie...I don't know how to have faith anymore that this show can introduce, develop, then wrap up a female series regular's storyline with any amount of integrity + payoff. Is it too much to ask in S7-8?

I agree with many of your points @shopgirlin310- that we know more about Enid, whom I have nothing against, than we do Tara, Sasha and Rosita seems ridiculous to me. In theory she has plenty of time to be on the show. Sasha has been on since Season 4, Tara since 4 and Rosita 4 also. Yes, some new characters the important ones, need backstory of course, but it just boggles my mind that some redshirts and minor characters get arcs, bottle episodes etc yes, while mains do not. I have expressed that often so I am sure my comment here comes as no surprise to anyone readng it As for female characters, it is a shame that so many are defined merely by their connections to the male characters. Bonds are great and I am glad Rosita is particularly close to Tara, Maggie, Eugene but of course she just lost Abraham and even Glenn. Losing Abe is particulary tough because even though people know she loved him, Sasha is seen as the "true widow" more than Rosita, despite their being together longer ion the ZA. How lovely it would be if she could bond further and be allowed to be friends with Michonne, who could offer wise counsel and affection to help her heal and deal for instance. But women are not allowed to be friends outside their closest group since season 3 when we saw Lori with Carol and we are only just now getting back to Maggie and Sasha after their bond formed in season 5. I hope Rosita gets some emotional suport from others or that Tara returns at soem point before Rosita goes it alone. She lost Abe and Glenn with whom she was also close, with Maggie at Hilltop now fro the sake of her baby & Tara out there somewhere- no wonder she feels bereft, alone with no support beyond Eugene, whose social skills are not the best. Spencer doesn't seem to have much to offer either since his motive is more snark whining and relationship goals for himself. He did come through a few times, buu I am not holding my breath on his coming through for Rosita now in any substantive way. AsS long as the show is written for and somewhat by the dudebro code, it will be this way, sadly.

Good point about Michonne! I'd love for her to have a close female friendship again. Loved Andrea/Michonne.
