And that starts with salvaging the absolutely terrible stretch of episodes that ruined an originally promising season. So, what’s to be done?"
Thoughts?

Thoughts? Rosie, thanks for posting. I don't watch FTWD but the article could have been written about TWD. Get The Band Back TogetherOne of the biggest strengths of Fear the Walking Dead was that it abstained from pulling the old Walking Dead trick of splitting up the group so we were forced to sit through individualized episodes for 1-3 characters at a time until they all got back together. But now, Fear the Walking Dead has done exactly that by totally splintering the group. The Chris Storyline Is Just Not WorkingHe (replace "he" with Carol and Morgan) can’t keep going on this way, as it’s the worst subplot of a show full of bad subplots. Figure Out Who Travis Is Supposed To BeHe (Carol, Daryl, Morgan, Rick - take your pick) veers between action hero and pacifist, genius strategist and total idiot. Slow the Hell DownI wanted to understand more about this death cult Terminus, the Wolves, for instance, and sure enough, by the time it started being interesting *whoosh*, it goes up in flames. Are We The Baddies? But otherwise, stop having them do terrible things (Carol and Sam, TF killing Negan's group while they slept) and expecting audiences to like them. Since FTWD is making many of the same mistakes as TWD, now I'm even more convinced some hack high up on the AMC payroll is making the final decisions. Ripley

Sexual Chocolate You make some great points about parallels in both shows! Nice job! **** Writer of this article has made some great points about ways to salvage this back half. Totally agree about Chris arc. The actor is not strong enough to carry that arc and frankly I don't think Travis is strong enough character to make the scenes work - unlike scenes with Carl and Rick.

I'm not giving up on it yet, but it went a bit off the rails when they arrived in Mexico and met Celia. Hopefully she's REALLY dead.

Daniel is allegedly dead, but until I see a body, I don’t believe it.
I don't think he's dead either.
I think Celia is dead. Stick a fork in that arc and call it D.O.N.E.
(Hopefully ...)

(Hopefully ...) Agreed. As hard as it is to imagine how Daniel got himself out of that situation, no body for main cast, not definitely dead.

Lmao, when I clicked on the Forbes site, this was their "Quote of the Day": Quote of the Day "Sometimes knowing when something is not working and pivoting to something new leads to our greatest opportunities and successes." - Kristina Saffran Can I have that quote written on several thousand slips of paper, which are then air dropped on the TWD writers' room?
