So through a fluke of confusion, I found out Stalwart is the studio behind season 2 and Mike Riley (location manager for TWD) is scouting locations for it as well. Should make filming location scouting for TWD quite interesting this fall. They are currently at an abandoned high school in Stockbridge, GA, which was the school used in season 1. Great info! Thanks Shiny for sharing.

We can agree that Nancy is being ridiculous and Steve ain't shit, right? I knew she was going back to him. I dunno. Nancy didn't look especially thrilled to be sitting on the sofa with Steve. I gave Steve props for turning himself around but given a choice between the two ... not Steve.

I'm torn. On one hand, I do like Jonathan. On the other hand, I'm not sure why Nancy's options should be lame Steve vs a guy who followed her around and took her picture without her consent... Which was a touch, uh, creepy stalkerish.
ETA: I really do like the relationship that has developed between Nancy and Jonathan; I just really *don't* like the starting point.

Yes, these kids are so talented but I find I'm always drawn to Millie. She just has so much presence and poise.

So also a fluke, my nephew goes to summer camp with the kid who played Winona ryder's younger son. I don't know if the kid will be returning next summer or not, but if he does and it's before the show airs maybe I'll have some tidbits to share! He has been there a few years and has had success in acting already so.....

greaterpursuit, in addition to her acting skills, I'm now, having seen that performance, very impressed at MBB's vocal talent, and she definitely has the it factor that draws attention in her direction. That said, I was also quite impressed by the dance skills of caleb mclaughlin (Lucas) and found myself wishing he was featured even more heavily in the number.

Since it's not posted here yet, I'll add the kids' appearance on Jimmy Fallon, playing "Stranger Strings":
I really enjoyed my fellow Canadian Finn Wolfhard's comeback to Jimmy's "can you read?", as well as MBB's rap performance.

dark sister, I focused on Jonathan because Steve is... Steve. I thought the disqualification was self-apparent. Lol

Update from the NYCC panel! "...The cast and crew have been tight-lipped about what’s to come in the new season. But actors David Harbour (Chief Hopper) and Millie Bobby Brown (Eleven) might have dropped a few hints during a panel discussion at New York Comic Con when one fan presented an interesting theory: Maybe Chief Hopper will raise Eleven as his own daughter and future episodes will explore that new and complex dynamic. Considering the tragic backstories of both these characters ― the death of Hopper’s daughter and the disturbing relationship between Eleven and her father ― that theory actually makes sense. And, in the final episode of Season 1, Hopper is last seen leaving out food from the police station’s holiday party in the middle of the woods, including Eggo waffles, implying that Eleven is still alive despite her dramatic disappearance. Harbour did not dismiss the idea, responding, “I will say that there would be a rich emotional arch there for us to explore.” Brown chimed in to say, “It’s all very exciting.” ..." Link

I have to admit I don't like the idea of be a stalker but get the girl in the end. I liked that Steve actually did come through for Nancy, though I wasn't a Steve fan.

Sexual Chocolate, I liked the pilot a lot actually. Liked the cold open, how Will disappeared, loved Barabara already although I'm a bit meh on Nancy and Steve. Loved the sheriff wrestling with his demons and fears, liked WR's Joyce and especially the scene in which she tells Will's brother not to blame himself for not being there at the time. The boys made me crack up often with their bickering but I loved that they went out to help him.The music was great as part of the soundtrack and time feel. The scenes in the diner were so poignant between 11 and the owner/cook. Getting ready to watch # 2

I wonder if this show will have any Emmy noms next year? They're really keeping the momentum going now, and the new season should premiere right before the nominations are announced.
