Is anyone watching the new Showtime series Roadies? What do you think?

I watched the pilot a couple of week ago Lee and have been following critics' responses to the show. What say you?

I really like it! I think it is quirky and funny and fresh and it's a change of pace from many of the shows I love and watch (dark and/or angst-ridden). Very character-driven, which I love, and there is something about these characters that makes you want to get to know them much better - good roles for Luke Wilson and Carla Gugino and a lot of new talent that I've never seen before who are really good. Tonight they were in Atlanta and Lindsey Buckingham (a flash from the past!) was a guest. The music is very good too - a nice mix of old and new - but unfortunately, no Bear McCreary music . . .

I need to catch up then! If Lindsey Buckingham is the guest for this week's episode , I'll definitely be watching. He's an underappreciated guitarist IMO. I like Imogen Poots, Luke Wilson, Rafe Spall and Carla Guigino

I like Lindsey Buckingham too & he has aged very well! I think Imogen Poots must be the young "roadie" who rides her skate board around the venue whenever they are setting up the band's equipment. She's a "wannabe" stand-up comedienne who isn't very funny, but she is adorable & empathetic & insightful with her co-workers - she has good chemistry with Luke Wilson. I live a little north of Atlanta - so last night's episode was especially fun for me with all the Atlanta references. Let me know what you think!

I watched episode 2 last night and am going to stick with it. Eddie Vedder is the season finale guest! www.ew.com/article/2016/07/13/eddie-vedder-guest-roadies"...Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder is set to perform in the season finale of Crowe’s music comedy, which airs Aug. 28 on Showtime. Other performers in the episode will include Jim James (who also appears in this Sunday’s episode), Nicole Atkins, Jackson Browne, Robyn Hitchcock, Jess Wolfe and Holly Laessig from Lucius, and Gary Clark Jr. Roadies creator/executive producer Crowe has strong ties to Pearl Jam, as he directed the 2011 retrospective doc Pearl Jam Twenty. He enlisted Pearl Jam manager Kelly Curtis — who worked on such Crowe films as Say Anything, Singles, and Almost Famous — as a producer on Roadies, and Curtis has helped him recruit musical artists to appear on the show. The season 1 guest roster also includes Lindsey Buckingham, The Head & the Heart, Lucius, Halsey, Reignwolf, and Joy Williams..."
