"...Speaking to Daryl Dixon actor Norman Reedus earlier today, I asked the fan-favorite how exactly The Walking Dead will be different when it returns in October and it sounds like the series will follow the comics, at least to an extent, and build on the brutal world we've come to know. He has previously predicted that the entire world will explode when we see what's next and here's why... "There's different worlds now," Reedus says. "There's different characters. There's a change of power on the show. Negan coming in has flipped our whole script so to speak. We are no longer the Alpha right now. It's a new world. It's a new, dangerous world in a different way now."... ...Reedus doesn't care. "No," Reedus says flat out when asked if Negan could turn into a good guy on the TV series. "He's just pure evil."..." link

More hype from Commander Hyperhole himself. (rofl)
With the non- stop promoting of Negan, the new communities and all this new world stuff it's killing my interest in the show. I don't care about Negan. I don't care about the new communities and I sure as hell don't care about new newbie characters. I care about the original characters and their stories.

I've noticed how many Negan apologists cite his "bangability" factor as a reason why he can't be all that bad. Forgive my bluntness-if is late.

"He's holding the entire group hostange but...8/10 would bang." All that will change when he kills my precious Glenn though.

If as predicted, this season 7 is going to be a hard one for me. I was one of the ones who couldn't stand the Governor and could barely get past the episode he was in. I was so happy the day Michonne killed him !!
It's not like we didn't know this Negan story was coming but it's going to be REALLY hard for me to handle our loved characters killed and others being dehumanized. I just hope they don't drag it on too long. ???

Much like season 4 ended with "they're screwing with the wrong people" I kind of don't expect the declaration for AOW until the s7 finale.

At least it's something to look at in the show I probably wouldn't even be watching if it wasn't for JDM JDM is a very attractive man and I too enjoy looking. What I am saying though is that I have seen many people talking about finding him attractive and later saying "Well he's not really evil, he's too attractive and bangable or sexy to be an evil character". Fact remains, he bludgeoned Glenn to death with a baseball bat in the comic and also two mains in the lineup. Which to me do not seem mutually exclusive traits as they choose to interpret it. lol Negan's history in the comic is as a villain, so it doesn't make sense to me reading those sorts of comments as I find elsewhere.

I've also seen way too many people ship their "favorite" character with their abuser. (Jamie and JBR on outlander, Daryl and Negan, Michonne and the gov, Jessica Jones and Killian, Sam winchester and Crowley/lucifer). in a very different situation but still along the same thought process, remember all the b/d shippers that claimed still was full of romantic interactions and foreplay? So yes, I would totally do daddy winchester, but oh hell to the no for Negan. I am curious about the fandom ( and all fandoms actually) need to make excuses for the antagonist of shows because they are attractive. One of the things that I enjoy most about Negan ( as strange as it sounds) is his absolute unappologetic comfort in being exactly who he is.

I agree yes JDM is hot. but being hot doesn't give his character a pass on killing TF members..kidnapping.. and torturing them. I can already see the shippers in season 7 shipping Daryl with Negan. Which will be utterly gross.
Also with Negan being the new big evil,I wouldn't put it pass SG to do a bottle episode. Where he tries gain sympathy for Negan. SG has done it with every villian on the show the Gov,Gareth/Cannibals and then the Wolf last season.

Also creeped out by the Jamie/Cersie hard core shippers. Yeah its canon but DUDE! that's his twin sister!!!!

I agree - JDM is definitely attractive & sexy, but if that is what the vast majority of viewers continue to see when he plays the role of Negan - it won't speak very highly of his acting ability. Negan is a despicable, evil despot and if JDM does his job well . . . viewers should be able to see some of those traits in JDM when he is on screen as Negan. Having said that, I am concerned that Scott Gimple & friends may decide to "cash in" on JDM's attractiveness and popularity and end up downplaying Negan's true character, which would then be the writers' fault and NOT JDM's acting. I just don't have a very good feeling about this upcoming season . . .

People need to get out of this fantasy land about what Negan is or will be in the show. Flat out, it is going to SUCK. He's about to tear down everyone and everything we've come to love in this show. Period. It's why I've always dreaded the emergence of Negan into the show, because to me it signals the beginning of the end of TWD's television run. YMMV, but that's my take.
It's hard, too, because of what's already been said, also because we've only seen JDM as Negan the one time, and I know with me, I am picturing JDM's wide variety of other roles in which he's excelled. My thing is, at the same time I am lamenting his run on the show, I have a feeling I will kind of like Negan, despite his evilness, as he is a complex character who will show more than just 1 or 2-dimensional evil guy traits. Even in the comics, he was not comic-bookie at all, you know? My imagination wanders at what it could or will be and it makes me crazy. IT'S JUST A DAMN SHOW WITH FICTIONAL PEOPLE DAMN IT! (*slaps reality into myself*)
