Let's talk all things Harry Potter in this thread! Has anyone read the spoilers for the up coming play The Cursed Child? I finally got around to it today, and it sounds fucking terrible. I'm disappointed.

You know that feeling you get when you really want something, you finally get it...and you're not sure if you really wanted it in the first place? That's how I felt when reading the new book. I'm sure it'll be a lot better on stage, but it just feels weird.
Anyway, I've loved the Harry Potter series for a good chunk of my life. I actually even loved some of the video games (Chamber of Secrets for PC was my favorite).
Loved the books. Didn't care for most of OOTP considering that most of it involves Harry complaining.
I loved most of the film adaptions as well (with the exception of GoF).

I am really enjoying the book. Thumbs up IMO.
Quite sure that many did not realize they would be reading a script rather than a descriptive novel.
There are many scenes and beloved (and not so beloved ... talking to you Delores) characters from the previous stories that were re-visited all due to the "Time Turner" that is involved.
Harry struggling with parenting young Albus is well done.
Almost finished with the book and will be loving the play if it arrives in my area.
Optimistic we will see a movie version of this book.
(ETA: Finished the book. Nostalgic and satisfying.)

From another fandom, but Pottermore released the highly-anticipated Patronus quiz today.
I wasn't surpised by my house, but my Patronus did surprise me lol. Red Squirrel, and here I was thinking I'd get a feline.

I recently took the patronus quiz and I got a weasel. I was disappointed at first but I am cool with it now.
Anyone else take the Ilvermoney house quiz? (The North American school). I got Pukwudgie (???)

I took the patronus quiz, got a wild boar, and now I'm boycotting Pottermore because that's bullshit.

I heard some people got salmon.....as in the fish. I feel sorry for them. It makes my weasel look great.

Why must I register to take the quiz? Is it worth it if I risk a salmon... or, worse yet, a bird or mouse? Opinions?
