Spill it, what movies had you in tears? I cry in about 50% of movies now because I'm a massive wuss. Most recently it was Room.

The Color Purple. Without fail when Celie and Nettie are torn apart and when Shug tells her her estranged minister father, "See daddy, sinners have soul too." Maleficent - When Maleficent wakes up in pain to find her wings torn from her body. Hope Floats. When Bernice's dickhead father leaves her. This little girl standing in the street calling for her daddy and bawling her eyes out gets me every time. Ma Vie en Rose - When Ludovic wants to kill herself. I'm still not over it. Boys Don't Cry - The hospital scene after Brandon was raped. The complete an utter devastation on his face. I'm convinced this exact moment is what sealed Hilary Swank's oscar win. The Prince of Tides - After the attack, Savannah sitting at the dining room table, her dress wrong side out, with her hair in curlers. Somebody hold me...

Brokeback mountain- seeing the struggle not only for the time period but also for the personal struggle Ennis goes through, knowing he loves Jack but can't be with him. These two obviously loved each other, but just... damn... the ending always gets me. Schindler's list- do I really have to put a reason for this movie? The Green Mile Dreamwalker- It's a movie that share the stories from several tribes while also showing the racism native People face as well as shows how hopeless a lot of Rez folks are.. the reason it makes me weepy eyed is the grandfather on there reminds me so much of my grandfather. I can't watch it without missing him.

One that made me both laugh and cry was Steel Magnolias: Shelby's funeral. One minute I'm bawling along with Sally Field and the next I'm practically peeing myself because of Ouiser and Clairee. There's never been another scene in the history of movies that had me shifting emotions so quickly.

I skipped Marley and Me because I knew where that was going but I agree with the other two. Old Yeller especially scarred me for life. I watched that film at day care and my parents had to be called because I wouldn't stop crying.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2: I started getting choked up during the resurrection stone scene.
Wolf Children: Great movie, but I can never watch it again. Too emotional for me to handle.

I get teary at a lot of movies but don't actually cry. But I cried when I saw Sully. The landing of that plane on the water and getting all those people out just made me sob. I was so overwhelmed that everyone lived.

I'm not a big crier but sometimes things can connect for me that push me over the edge, sometimes in movies you would never expect. One that I rewatched recently that got me was, of all movies, Troy. It's an action film which is what brings me to it, but there's a scene after Brad Pitt has killed Eric Bana in one on one combat because Eric's character killed Brad's cousin(who was dressed to be Brad Pitts character at the time so Eric thought it was him). After he kills Eric, he drags the body away(apparently not typical). Peter O'Toole plays the king(Eric Bana's father in the movie) who sneaks into Brad's enemy camp, risking his own life, just to beg Brad Pitt for the body of his son back in order to give him a proper burial(they believed that was necessary to go to heaven or some such). As a parent with sons, that scene just got me and Peter O'Toole nailed it.
Here it is:

You know, I'm so hard to cry watching, I'm easier on books. A lot of movies I think sad or emotional, but to cry, it must be some specific. Some I remember now:
Titanic
When Marnie Was There
Lilya 4ever
La Vita è Bella
The Object of my Affection
Grave of the Fireflies
The Secret World of Arriety
August Rush
Wolf Children
That's what I remember by now... well, as we see, I have a particular love for Studio Ghibli.
