The Walking Dead Reportedly Casting For Ezekiel Type Role

AMC's The Walking Dead is casting for a role that sounds suspiciously like Ezekiel, a fan-favorite character from the comics.

The network is looking for an African American character in his forties who is described as "flamboyant and wise, nice and weird," according to TVLine.

They're calling the character Augustus, but it fits with Ezekiel, leader of The Kingdom. In the comics, Ezekiel has a tiger, and at one point had a relationship with Michonne.

What does the (7/16) in the above call mean?

If filming for Ep 1 (and that's a big IF I realize) looks like Ep 3 could begin filming May 25. Good to know for filming tracking.

TSDF also Credited STD in their announcement. I just saw it posted from TSDF in a closed FB group first.

The episode #7.03 is the first episode in which Ezekiel will be filming for and 5/35 is the date for the actor has to be there in the ground to start working. Of course the actor will have to have wardrobe/makeup fittings, get settled etc, so assuming that's an episode start date doesn't always work actually. It could simply be the day Ezekiel is scheduled to film for the first time of course.

While it hasn't yet been announced, we may get a 1.5 hour premiere (as in past few years) which takes 9 days to film per TPTB, then 8 days to film episode 7.02 and 7.03. Going by the calendar, if filming starts 5-2-16 as is widely believed now, the day count would take us to 5-26-16- the Friday before Memorial Day holiday to start episode 7.03. "Assuming" of course that the time needed to film remains the same as in seas S 1-6 and that using both A & B units to film may have some overlap of finishing one episode.

The 7/16 format tends to mean the character is expected TWD to be in 7 of the season's 16 episode TWD Zone Site Admin & Owner.
