Father Gabriel's general discussion thread. Talk about anything you want here about Father Gabe or the wonderful Seth Gilliam who portrays him.

Saw Seth on an older episode of Person of Interest. He's a handsome man. I'm really intrigued by the "new and improved" Father G. Can't wait to see him in Season 7. One of the first things he said to TF when they rescued him from the rock was a comment about Judith.

Father Gabe's introduction is my favorite of all the characters, second only to Michonne's. Father Gabe up on the rock desperate to get away from the walkers. Then a stampede of wild animals, aka team family, charge out of the woods to save him. Love it.

I first saw Seth Gillliam on "Oz" and "The Wire"- his work is fantastic. He's been constrained by the material he's gotten but always sold it well. I would adore seeing Father G be one of those "hard left" comic changes and have him grow in unexpected ways. Looking forward to seeing him in s 7, abd was thrilled he finally stepped up over s 6, leaving his craven self behind .

I think S7 is looking to be the most interesting arc for Gabriel. Finally stepping out of his norm, what do you think?

Two key scenes for me (in addition to his introduction)... asking Rick if he trusted him with Judith after assuring him he will care for her, and taking out that Savior. Father G always has captivated me whether I have liked his character or not.

I have always liked Fr G ever since the group found him on that rock back in 5a. And alot of it is due to SG acting ability.I actually felt sorry for him when Rick was being a dick to him in 6a. And SG facial expressions in scenes are the best.
Now that the character has become Judith's caretaker when Rick and Carl aren't around.I just hope he doesn't have end up with the same fate as her other 2 carecarers aka Beth and Tyreese.
