Ripley She's supposed to be a feminine Jamie complete with some of his mannerisms and I just don't see it. And you are so right, I hated that she and Roger are introduced at the Reverend's funeral. He was plain ole' eye fucking her, and his father's body wasn't even cold yet. As we move on to season 3, I'm going to miss so many of the characters: Angus, Rupert, Dougal, Colum...so many. I read the books so long ago, I can't remember if Murtagh dies at the battle (I think he does), or if Fergus grows into adulthood.

Agreed- a bit creeping, and of course in the book, they stayed not at the Manse, but at the same little inn she and Frank stayed in when she first disappeared, which I thought was a nice touch. The only thing I saw from Brianna which put me to mind of Jamie was stubbornness but she didn't have that much to do in the finale. We wont see much of she or Roger at all in s 3 since they moved some things from Voyager into this finale. I follow Diana's blog and also her Facebook page- believe me we are not alone in our criticisms either.

Duncan Lacroix on Why You should Always Take A MurtaghBefore the filming of season three starts again in a few weeks, Duncan will join Sam Heughan and Catriona Balfe for a two-week bootcamp where they’ll reconnect over dinner and literally ease them themselves back in the saddle again. Fans of the books will be aware Murtagh dies during the Battle of Culloden and there is much speculation whether producers will deviate from the original story to retain this popular character. “The dynamic is very interesting between Jamie and Murtagh, especially around Culloden,” he says. Catching himself from revealing too much, he laughs, adding: “I’m still to fully find out myself but even if I knew I wouldn’t give the game away.” LinkI really want him to survive. I realized this makes me the opposite of a purist but I really really love his character.

"Outlander has filled two pivotal roles for season 3. John Bell (The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies) will play young Ian and Wil Johnson (Waking the Dead) will play her close friend and medical colleague Joe Abernathy in the new season that will kick off in 2017... ...Production on season 3 of the Starz drama has already begun in Scotland." linkv Sexual Chocolate

Ripley At first I thought it read, Walking Dead instead of Waking the Dead and I lost valuable brain cells trying to figure out what character he played on TWD.

Meet Adult Fergus for Outlander! Domboy, 26, has been working in film, TV, and theater in France for years. Besides his appearance in Robert Zemeckis’ The Walk, he also appeared in season 2 of The Borgias. Domboy is one of several new actors who will join the ensemble when the drama returns sometime in 2017. (Sadly, Starz won’t reveal the exact date of its much-anticipated comeback). Among the new additions: Wil Johnson (Waking the Dead), who will play Claire’s close friend and medical colleague Joe Abernathy when the drama focuses on 1960s Boston; John Bell (The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies), who will assume the role of Jamie’s nephew Ian Murray; and David Berry, who will play Lord John Grey, a former British soldier-turned-Ardsmuir prison governor. And here’s a juicy tidbit that EW also learned exclusively: We’ll also meet a new person from Jamie Fraser’s extended family! Lest we want to meet the other end of his sword, however, that’s all we can share so far. link

"...Outlander’s cast got a new member Monday. Newcomer Lauren Lyle has been cast as Marsali, Laoghaire’s (Nell Hudson) 18-year-old daughter. Per Starz, “Marsali has a rebellious and romantic mind of her own. She knows what she wants and she goes after it — reputation and propriety be damned.” Lyle joins César Domboy (The Walk), who was tapped to the play the older version of Fergus, as EW previously reported. Lyle’s previous TV credits include appearances on Broken, Holby City, and Radges... link
