Borrowing from dark sister 's great idea here lol I'm so excited and cannot wait for season 2 to start- the Frasers in France at Versailled, and in Scotland. Dragonfly In Amber was one of my favorite books for all the great secondary and teriary characters -Mother Hildegarde and Bouchon and also the Jacobites as well as the introduction of Fergus and the scene of the beating in front of the servants to save Fergus' honor. Hangman's ointment anyone?

Loved the s 2 premiere. Amazing how a show can follow source material 98% yet excel at developing characters with compelling story in both the 98 -and 2%! Ronald D Moore, the cast& crew did a fantastic job with the premiere, and the other 12 episodes should be excellent. Funny how Starz chose fewer episodes in s 2: 13 over 16, yet will cover all of Dragonfly In Amber. Quality over quantity ! AMC, I'm side-eyeing you here-step up. v, pandacoffee, ikkleosu, Sexual Chocolate

www.spoilertv.com/2016/04/outlander-episode-203-useful.html?m=1'Useful Occupations and Deceotions' is the next episode. I'm thinking we will meet Fergus, see the interception of Prince Charles' letter & get the first view of the hospital as Mary Hawkins and Claire do useful work. Bouton and Morher Hildegard? And Frank again, which differs from the book .

Thanks Ripley but I'm going to stay away from spoilers. I've read the books but they were a long time ago, so some things still come as a surprise to me. I'm still not over yesterday's episode, though.

So I'm catching up on my Outlander and I actually awwed when the theme music returned to a more Scottish focus. Although, I'm going to miss those sumptuous costumes of the French court, especially the King's red in the opening.

Where was Murtagh when Jamie was imprisoned for dueling with Randall? Was he in prison too?

I wondered about that too Sexual Chocolate. I thought maybe he had headed back to Scotkand early or more likely may have been assumed in Paris. Very shocked Murtagh didn't bring her home from the hospital. His absence at that point led to the going back to Scotland early thoughts. I think had he been in Paris, he would have brought Claire reports Of Jamie in the Bastille or taken reports of her back to Jamie so I'm sticking to the went back early theory lol. sort of half remember a discussion between Jamie avd Murtagh about the latter not being happy is feeling useful in Paris. .

So I'm in the middle of last night's episode and the scene of Jamie and his army about to attack the British is one of the best things I've ever watched. The fog, the music, the sudden silence, and finally the shot of the lone British soldier asleep on his feet was beautifully done. Now back to watching.

2 tries I had with that show. In both I only saw 2 eps. I like the show, the music is terrific but I think it would probably grab me into 'omg I need to see the next ep asap' mode around episode 3 or 4 and somehow I always run of the time to just sit down and watch several episodes and then I forget what happened and have to start over > I really hope I will finally get into it this weekend, I heard wonderful things about the show and it seems everyone is praising it

v Sexual Chocolate "Outlander (Starz, 9 p.m., Saturday): Time-traveling lovers Claire and Jamie keep getting thwarted in their attempts to change Scottish history. Their most well-laid plans and sexiest glances serving only to, it seems, assert that nothing they do will fix the present, or ensure wrongs righted. In this 90-minute season two finale, Kayla Kumari Upadhyaya is holding out hope—if anyone could change the world, it’s Caitriona Balfe’s toweringly formidable Claire Randall. But, even with extra time to work, Claire’s got her hands full, what with the Battle Of Culloden looming and the evil Black Jack Randall being Black Jack Randall all over the place. Look for some sweeping, wrenching, epic drama in what’s been a great second season, and some equally wrenching and lovely prose from Kayla, who will also being saying goodbye to her ongoing Outlander coverage after the finale. (Time-traveling paradoxes be damned—if anyone has a spare time machine and wants to go back and get more people to read Kayla’s consistently excellent reviews of this show, we’d all really appreciate it.) And dab your inevitable tears on some of the show’s authentically stunning costumes as seen in Marah Eakin’s Expert Witness interview with Outlander costume designer Terry Dresbach, while you’re at it."

Are you starting production on season 3 any sooner this year?Moore: "We’re ramping up now. We are working on scripts and stories. We will probably be on an accelerated overall production schedule now that we have two season pickups. So we can start actively planning season 4 as opposed to waiting for a pickup. Season 3 is a traveling show. It starts in Scotland, but then it’s a sea voyage. There are pirates. It’s in Jamaica. It’s in the New World. And book 4 is in the New World and suddenly in North Carolina. So having the ability to make long range plans about where we are shooting certain elements and where we want to dedicate resources is enormously helpful in planning the show.............." www.ew.com/article/2016/07/09/outlander-season-2-finale-ron-moore

So I finally watched the season finale and I don't know how I feel about it, especially Brianna. Not the best actress and I can't get over her not being taller and thicker boned.

So I finally watched the season finale and I don't know how I feel about it, especially Brianna. Not the best actress and I can't get over her not being taller and thicker boned. It took some time for me to get used to seeing her-I get they chose not to make Balfe wear golden-colored contact lenses to match Claire's eyes in the books. Fine, maybe they tried and she just can't tolerate lenses. But I do not understand why they could not simply color the Brianna actor's hair to match Jamie's since Heughan himself has his hair colored specifically for the role! He's blond in real life, not ginger FFS! So it's a huge fail for me that she has darker hair and actually looks more like Frank than either Claire or Jamie. She is supposed to be immediately identifiable to anyone who knew Ellen, Jamie's mother or Jamie himself, whether in the 20th or 18th centuries. I was ok with most of the changes made from book to screen around how Claire and Brianna come to Scotland and meet Roger. Kind of tacky they meet at The Reverend's funeral- when I lost a parent, I wasn't really into macking on somebody at the services or amongst the mourners myself, but this is TV. Season 3 which is now in production will be very different as it is mostly a journey book, marking CLaire's return to Scotland in the 18th century, and the adventures she am Jamie have whilst reconnecting with one another, as they eventually choose to leave Scotland forever.
