When Abe dropped the necklace given to him by Rosita, did it only foreshadow their break up or does it also foreshadow her death?

For sure I thought it shadowed a break up and they did break up, well, I guess it's more that Abe dumped Rosita. And I might add, THAT was one of the coldest, heartless ever dumping I've ever witnessed, especially since they were just in bed together before that and she gave him that necklace that she made. Poor Rosita, talk about feeling used ! I wonder if we'll ever see somebody in the future episodes wearing that necklace.  |

Abe went from kinda funny good-hearted rough guy in season 5 to Emperor of Dudebrovia with that breakup. In interviews, Cudlitz has said that "Abe simply doesn't know any better..." but I think that is a herb-sprinked, lemon-garnished bowl of cream of  soup. We all know from 6.01 and his drunken introspection with Pete's body that Abe is not in a good place, and I have seen fandom folks contorting to try and find a way to justify the breakup as not really being his fault because he is scared, or feels hopeless etc.  |

Kinda calling Abe scared or hopeless as BS. He enjoyed his time with Rosita but he said, "I thought you were the only woman in her world, you're not". He wants Sasha and he wasn't going to get Sasha unless he dumped Rosita. So he dumped Rosita.
Being shallow and spiteful I would if I were Rosita think seriously of hitting on Spencer. Sure he is weak and a trifle cowardly... but he's cute, he manned up to find and bury his mother, and he is really cute.
I like Rosita a lot more than I do Abe. He is my number one candidate for death in the finale.

Abe was my favorite character in the comic until his stupid untimely death. As for the show is concerned, it's just not hitting. AT his introduction it was "Washington, washington, washington, shit sandwich, washington" - Then he was starting to grow on me a little after that, until he decided to go for some Chocolate Bisquick Pancakes. It's just out of left field. And that break up makes the audience hate him even more. Which means he's got to have some serious heroic shit coming before he should die or then it's an absolute waste of a character, because what's the point in making him a Survivor on the good guy team?

I feel that pain spectre and I bet Michael Cudlitz does too. I think Abe has been reduced to a rather cartoonish caricature of the comic character which is sad and unnecessary IMO. |

I hated his introduction. Yes, Abe, I know you want to get to Washington, DC but give it a break for a minute. The writers did some a disservice to MC. His dialogue sucked, the flashback of his family was too ambiguous (I read the spoilers so I knew what the writers were trying to convey and even I understood why some thought he was the bad guy in the whole scenario), and on top of that they made him sit on his knees staring into the wild blue yonder for half an episode. Then comes the break up to end all break ups. He could have been great, and maybe his character will do a complete 180 but it's going to be tough. |

I used to feel so lonely in my Abe hate. IDK there was just this visceral aversion to him from the beginning for me.
It was cemented when they showed him violent around his family, his wife flinched from him and then shoving Rosita around. Finally they used Rosita to validate his behavior in that scene between them in the trailer where she said she wasn't afraid of him and knew he wouldn't hurt her. Boom! All better see?? Guys who push girls during their violent outbursts are A-OK! That was completely disgusting.
He's just an over macho hormonal bag of testosterone. A caricatured tough guy. His dialogue isn't funny or witty. It's ridiculous. I cannot stand a single thing about this character. I even hate him more than I do Morgan. At least Morgan has some depth and complexity to his character. Abe is just 100% douchebag.
