I watch it nana and no, I'm not offended, no worries. I like it Ok for what it is, a specific genre, but not dazzled by the show's flaws. I watched the first season, despite the annoyance of TWD pushing it so hard . Not sure I will watch s 2 though.

Ripley, it is just too brutal for me... which seems pretty lame an excuse when you consider I have watched Not Tomorrow Yet a half dozen times. And I can't figure out the time.. is it current, past or future? Maybe that has been explained. Anyway, the show obviously has an audience since it is renewed. Enjoy!

I didn't watch it in protest to AMC constantly shoving it down my throat. I'm petty that way. *shrug*

I'd been waiting to hear and I'm happy it was renewed! It was such a novel idea that I was intrigued and really got into ITB. Promoting it at the expense of TWD and TD though, turned off a lot of people. People understandably resented being force-fed this show which pushed Talking Dead later. I know I did. Then having to watch ITB to see a TWD preview near the end of the hour. That was a poorly handled promotion. While TWD was on hiatus, I went back and watched the entire season, which gave me a better understanding of the plot. Plus a greater appreciation for the serious eye-candy, Daniel Wu. Dayumm, that man is so fine!!

ItB is a visual feast ~ from the unique hairstyles, to the colorful costumes, to the eye-popping fight sequences, to the gorgeous scenery. There were some scenes while it was snowing, and I can't describe it any way but beautiful. This show is a visual feast! My take is that it's a slice of post-apocalyptic life, years after devastating events. This show takes risks, killing off leads unexpectedly and in a way that advances the plot. I also love how the woman are smart and dangerous ~ and control much of the action. Yes, it's a violent show and there's a LOT of blood. But interestingly, they don't have guns in their world, but wow do they ever fight ~ and the women can be as brutal as the men. Honestly, I was all set to hate this show, the way it interfered in my TWD world. I really resented its timing and placement But darn if it didn't turn out to be even more intense and riveting than TWD! The finale this past Sunday was full of shocks!!
