I noticed a tweet today from the actress (Jeryl Prescott) who played Jacquie in Season 1 TWD about heading to Sundance Festival. twitter.com/TheRealJerylThinking she may have a part in the film, I googled it and found on its Wiki page, she has a small role. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Birth_of_a_Nation_%282016_film%29**** On a personal note, I met Jeryl last Feb at Chicago WSC. Delightful woman. We talked for quite awhile about her career and her experiences on TWD.

www.ew.com/article/2016/1/28/birth-of-nation-title-matters"Filmmaker Nate Parker made history on Tuesday by setting a new record for the biggest Sundance deal of all time: his film The Birth of a Nation was acquired by Fox Searchlight for $17.5 million, well above the previous record for the festival, considered to be held by Little Miss Sunshine for $10 million. But that’s not the only history the film is poised to make: with its repurposed title, the movie is stepping into some very big, very notorious shoes.
Parker’s film tells the story of Nat Turner’s 1831 slave rebellion, a critical event in African American history. But it takes its title from another such event: D.W. Griffith’s iconic silent film about the Civil War, a movie that both revolutionized the film industry and left a disgraceful societal legacy."
I am so pleased about this on many levels - one of which is Jeryl's role in the film.
