I shed tears when you were murdered in the comics and when the show started, I watched my favorite comic book come to life, I knew these characters were on borrowed time, but I couldnt help to grow but to fan care for them, Glenn I miss your character in print and I will miss your character on the show. It took me a good week to not tear up when I would read about his death, now I still get semi emot when I read a meme or an article. RIP GLENN

Steven Yeun is on the cover of Entertainment Weekly. I think the issue hits newsstands tomorrow. We subscribe, so we received it today.
There's a small blurb about Abraham. Not enough. B-|

So I have not been here since the really bad thing happened, but I love coming back to see the PM's and Glenn love! I hated what happened, hated worse that it turned into Daryl man pain, and that so far his death has served no purpose. I hate that he was used for pure shock and horror. He was better than that.
But I am hopeful that at least Maggie won't forget him, and that he keeps true to his word that he will find her.
And I will follow Steven in his career for years to come!

I'm really hoping the Barry Jenkins keeps his word to cast Steven in something. Maybe one day soon we'll see him at the Academy Awards collecting his Oscar.

I agree Sexual Chocolate. Steven's acting really improved by leaps and bounds, and I've said it before, to me he was the most under-rated actor on the show. MMB and AL get most of the accolades, and I get why and they deserve praise, but Stephen did too. I find I still miss the character of Glenn on the show. They have really done a bad job of making us feel invested in any of the newer characters, and really just the Atlanta 5 + Maggie and Michonne. With Glenn gone, and Maggie and Carol having bit parts this season, I just don't feel the same connection. I still think it's terrible we didn't get to grieve more with Maggie about Glenn which would have been a natural process for the audience and instead the show decided to focus a lot more time on Daryl's man pain as Delta put it so well. Glenn was my favorite character for the first two seasons(replaced by Carol in season 3), and continued to be #2 on my list until the bitter end. I really do hope we see SY get some great parts and ones that aren't just action oriented but show what a great actor he really is.

I think the showrunners forgot that while they may have grieved Glenn and moved on emotionally, they have deprived we viewers of being able to do so this year, by keeping Maggie so isolated and never seen breaking down, just her acceptance of his death and his grave. Viewers need more than that and to grieve both Glenn and Abe openly and fully, before all of us can move on too. It is somehow fitting that we never got that with Hershel's death either and he was Glenn's surrogate father in seasons 2-4, helping shape the man Glenn grew into being. Delta , your words comfort me and I have thought of you often this year, wondering how you felt. Thanks for sharing it with us all here. Glenn was a good man so I hope the words Rick speaks to Michonne are worthy of Glenn and the journey he started for all of us in season one, by choosing to step in at great risk and save a total stranger who was, in the end, unable to return the favor.

A number of casual fans have mentioned to me that they miss Glenn this season. You never know what you have until it's gone.

I agree with all of this and want to add that Steven never phoned it in even when Glenn was sadly relegated to the "B" team in terms of the material he was given work with, and for that I appreciate him even more.

It doesn't surprise me that they have spent so little time showing them grieve over Glenn. They did to his death what they did to his time on the show. They robbed him and catered to the GA, meaning Daryl fans. The general audience as well as the showrunners never truly cared about Glenn. Which is why they crapped on even his death to give Daryl more man pain. I would have been okay with Glenn dying the way he did, but to make it about Daryl after taking as SO much from Glenn's comic part was just insulting to Glenn as well as a fine actor like Steven.
Steven was a class act until the end and took it all in stride.
I do like the small moments they gave to Glenn, like his own words coming from Maggie, Tara and Enid. Maggie looking like him. Maggie at his grave. Enid and the balloons. But it's a bit too little too late.
I'm too invested to stop watching and I really want to see how his death carries over to Maggie and his baby.
But his death was for pure shock and gore, nothing more. I have casual viewing friends who stopped watching because his death was way too graphic. And to make it worse, at his moment of death poor Abe was all but forgotten.
But Daryl is still there.

All good points Delta. It angered me for years how Glenn and Steven were treated on the show- Glenn's death onscreen was pure torture porn and another gimmick for the show. I hope Steven gets more career project options from his time on the show and ideally another TV show as a main cast character, even though roles for Asians are so limited. Would love to see him on another top hit show as a way of flipping off AMC for the choices made to pander to the cash cow at the expense of other great characters, often fan favorites. Yes, I'm still bitter and
